4. Old Business:

a. Amendment of the Constitution:

The President stated that at the last meeting there was a discussion that had to do with the election of Officers at the Labor Day Event. It was discussed that the president only should be elected at the Business Session of the September Meeting, and then the other officers would be elected by his home club by their own members, within 30 days of the beginning of the new Association Year.

b. Two members shall be present as representatives from each club at each quarterly meeting.

c. Jack said that at the Spring Jamboree there would be copies available to vote on the Amendment.

6. The President asked for approval of funds for the expense of 2000 membership cards at a cost of $27.98 and $15.00 and 14 mark and 50 pfenning for a salvage typewriter and repairs. It was agreed that the typewriter was worthwhile to the Association and $50.00 was granted unanimously. Johnnie Welsh - Hanau made the move and Tom Estrada - Bad Kreuznack seconded.

7. Hanau was asked to consider sponsoring the Summer Jamboree, but all clubs were asked to think over the idea in case Hanau could not accept.

8. Buck Jordan discussed the fact that the only way that people know about what is going on in Square Dancing is through news media. All clubs are urged to send in their news. The deadline for the next newsletter is 1 December.

Meeting adjourned at 1400 hours.
