GENERAL MEETING - WIESBADEN
The meeting was called to order at 1400 hours, 5 December 1966, at the American Community Center, 7 Paulinenstraße, Wiesbaden, Germany (Winter Jamboree).
The following Executive Council members were present:

The following clubs were represented:

The minutes of the last two meetings were read, seconded and passed.
The following reports were given by the Council:
a. The Treasurer reported that a balance of $780.65 is showing in the books.
b. The ECTA Liaison, Byron Jenkins, requested that EAASDC also provide a liaison to ECTA. A suggestion was made and adopted that the president of the host club, Kuntry Kuzins, Bill Dalton, be the EAASDC Liaison to ECTA.
OLD BUSINESS:
a. After discussion a motion was made that the banner idea be accepted and the council come up with a design and get it made. Seconded and passed. A motion was made that the banner be made and be at the Spring Jamboree in Berlin, seconded and passed.
b. Dues: It was noticed that 1 November was the deadline for the payment of dues by the clubs of the Association. There were approximately 11 clubs who have not paid their dues. Letters are being sent to those cubs informing them of their suspension in the Association until dues are paid. Clubs in France are invited to join clubs in Germany, if and when the come over.
c. Overseas auto stickers: It had been decided at the last Board of Officers meeting that the Overseas Dancers auto stickers would be given to those clubs who had paid their dues by 1 November. A token amount of stickers were given to those clubs who were present and a like amount will be mailed to those clubs who were not represented at the meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
a. The President opened bids for the Summer Jamboree and, since no club volunteered or was prepared to accept the bid, the Gay Squares, Wiesbaden requested that they hold the Summer Jamboree. It was seconded and passed.
b. A bid was made by the Heidelberg Hoedowners that the next meeting of the board of Directors be held Sunday, 12 February 1967 in Heidelberg, Germany, during the Annual Castle Dance, it was seconded and passed.
c. Student Hoedown: The Student Hoedown HOSTED NY THE Wiesbaden Kuntry Kuzins on Saturday 19 November was discussed. It was agreed that any other Student Hoedown would be presented on the ECZA level of teaching 5, 10 or 15 weeks. It was further agreed that there would be more than one caller for these Hoedowns and that any club desiring to host a Student Hoedown should first contact the EAASDC for coordination. These Hoedowns will be hosted on a first-come first-serve basis at the different week level. Anyone desiring to host a Student Hoedown contact Ken Peach, Heidelberg mil 8768 or Heidelberg Civ 73874.
d. Spring Jamboree in Berlin: A representative from the Berlin Dancing bears requested that the name, rank, serial number and organization of each Canadian club who desires to attend the Spring Jamboree be forwarded immediately to the secretary EAASDC (Trudy DeVault, Engr Div, Hq, USAREUR, APO 09403). It was also requested that the names and their status of those who desire to attend (i.e. German nationals, ASA, Class II, Americans able to ride the duty train or other personnel coming commercial) be forwarded to the resident, (Ken Peach, Pers Div, Hq, USAREUR, APO 09403) also as soon as possible for panning purposes.
e. Die Hard - Hash - Let the Hammer Down: The "what ever you call it" dance was discussed and wholeheartedly agreed upon that everyone had a good time and that there should be one of these at the end of each jamboree.
f. EAASDC Constitution: There was a discussion on the EAASDC parent club hosting the Annual Convention. After much discussion, it was agreed that members of the Association were not familiar with the Constitution and By-Laws. It was agreed that a copy of the Constitution and By-laws would be sent to each club and request that they familiarize themselves with it.
g. The President of the gay squares commented upon the fact that no one bid for the summer jamboree. He quoted al Golden, who had spoken at the symposium, that putting on an event or jamboree unites the members in one common cause. Further discussion followed by all members on the lack of clubs bidding for jamborees.
A motion was made and seconded and passed that the meeting be adjourned; adjourned at 1545 hours.
Hanau Hayseeds Plaque: Does anyone know where the Hanau Hayseeds plague is? Please contact the EAASDC Secretary and she will see that it gets to them.
