Minutes of General Meeting
21 May 1967
The meeting was called to order at 1330 hours, 21 May 1967, at the 4 Wing RCAF in Bad Söllingen, Germany.
Executive council members present were:
President Jay Martin
Vice President George Lengle
Secretary Trudy DeVault
The following clubs were represented:
Hanau Hayseeds Kuntry Kuzins,
Fröhliche Tänzer Wagon Wheels
Söllingen Swingers Teen Twirlers
Skirts & Spurs Mannheim Mixers
Paws & Taws Heidelberg Hoedowners
Bavarian Twirlers.
The minutes of the last meeting, held 12 March 1967 in Berlin were read by the Secretary, seconded, and passed.
Since the Treasurer was not present, no report was available. The President then explained that the Berlin Dancing Bears gave a check of $ 105.00 to the Association, money which they made at the Spring Jamboree. The President also stated that the Berlin Jamboree was a tremendous success and the Dancing Bears are to congratulated on the effort they made and to thank all the dancers who participated.
There was no old business.

7-9 Jul 3rd International Square Dance Festival, Long Beach California
29 Jul Mannheim Mixers and Skirts & Spurs jointly hosting a Canadian Caller (Earl Park), Mannheim School Gym
1-3 Sep EAASDC 3rd Annual Convention hosted by the Heidelberg Hoedowners in Ketsch
1-2 Dec Bid received for Winter Jamboree to be held by Canadians in Hemer/Iserlohn area
The Canadians will not be able to attend the Summer Jamboree, therefore, they made the statement that they would like to bid for the Winter Jamboree to be held on 1-2-3 December at the Hemer/Iserlohn area, sponsored by the Fröhliche Tänzer. They will made a written bid to the Secretary of the Association to be presented at the Summer jamboree. This was seconded by Mrs. Golding and passed.
The President made a suggestion to all clubs to think about a “Square week in Europe”, to be held sometime in September, and asked all clubs to suggestions at the Summer Jamboree.
The President made a statement that there is a lot of “talking and speaking“ about callers, dancers, club officers, and about others in some clubs. This could be the reason that clubs are falling apart or losing some of their members.
Before the meeting was adjourned, the President congratulated the Söllingen Swingers for making the Centennial Jamboree a tremendous success and all present gave a hearty applause.
The meeting was adjourned at 1430 hours, 21 May 1967.
