Minutes of General Membership Meeting

31 August 1974

 

The general membership meeting of the European Association of American Square Dance Clubs (EAASDC) was called to order by the Association President Dick Paulder, on 31 August 1974 at 10:30 in Berlin. There were representatives present from 34 clubs at roll call. The Treasurer's report was given and approved. Minutes of the last meeting were approved as written.

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

None

 

NEW BUSINESS

Four new clubs were voted into the association: Grape Stompers (San Vito, Italy) - Associate; Crazy Eights (Berlin) - Associate; Warrior Squares (St Leonards on the Sea, England) - Associate; and Travaux Twirlers (St Leonards on the Sea, England) - Associate.

 

Brent Strickland, Publicity Director addressed all clubs to inform the association of their current club mailing address.

 

Peter Schensick suggested that both the association and clubs contact the press (which can be done) for publicity for square dance.

 

Nominations fox the new Association President was held by closed ballot and the new President for the European Association of American Square Dance Clubs is:

The calendar was read, and there were no updates.

 

Motion for adjournment was made and seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 11:20.
