MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEFTING HELD ON 4 APRIL 1981 AT THE SPRING JAMBOREE IN KETSCH
1. ROLL CALL 1.1. 2.1. MINUTES of the General Membership Meeting on 13 Dec.1980 at the Winter Jamboree in Plankstadt, as published in the January issue of the Bulletin, are accepted without comments.
2.2. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS as of 10 Dec.1980 (see January issue of the Bulletin) and of 12 March 1981 (see March issue of the Bulletin) are accepted without comments.
2.3. FINANCIAL REPORT on the Winter Jamboree 1980, as made up by the Rokoko Dancers and as published in the March issue of the Bulletin, is accepted without comments. The profit for EAASDC is DM 706.23. Thank you, Rokoko Dancers, and thank you also for the beautiful decorations!
2.4. INSURANCE AND GEMA REPORT: 17 clubs have not yet sent in their member-hip rosters, hence exact figures on how much the Liability and Accident Insurance will cost, cannot be given. PETER advises to show at the entrance a copy of the EAASDC/GEMA contract and not to pay extra GEMA fees.
2.5. PUBLICITY 2.5.1. SEATTLE BANNER: BOB urges to getting club badges for this banner to ILSE.
2.5.2. BULLETIN: Contact BOB, if your club does not get a copy. Bring your ideas on improvements and the like also to his attention. Yearly subscriptions are still open to everyone at DM 20.00 each; copies can be backdated since Jan. 1981.
2.5.3. FRIENDSHIP BADGE CARDS: Tum in your cards to LEONARD. State "red" or "gold" on them.
2.5.4. VIDEO TAPING: There will be video taping of the formal signing of the new Constitution & By-Laws tonight. Copies on VHS-cassettes can be obtained from John Swaffield, contact for the Heidelberg Hoedowners.
2.6. CHALLENGE DANCES: Clubs organizing future Jamborees are requested to consider challenge dancing to be put on the program.
3.1. NEW CLUBS
3.1.1. MOONLIGHT TWIRLERS RDC, Würzburg. Cuer: Gerti Bartoschek. They have 12 graduates and 1 class. They dance on Tues-days at 20.00 hrs. in the Eichendorff-Schule, Gerbrunn. The club is accepted into the Association.
3.1.2. H-PEELERS SDC, Bensheim. Caller: Steve Walton. Level: MS. They have 29 members and they dance on Thurs-days at 20,00 hrs. in the Konvikt (school), Bensheim. Attention: Thursdays will soon change to MONDAYS! The club is accepted into the Association.
3.1.3. JOLLY JOKERS SDC, Munich. Caller: Hank Meyer. Cuer: Manu Meyer. Level MS/QS + APD, in future also Plus I and II. They have 20 members and they dance on Thursdays at 19.30 hrs. in the Freizeit-heim, Perlacherstraße, München. The club is accepted into the Association.
3.1.4. KOHLENPOTT-HOPPERS SDC, Dortmund. Caller: Andreas Sassmann. Level MS/QS. They have 13 members and they dance on Thursdays from 20.00 - 22.00 hrs. in the kathol. Jugendheim St. Remigius, Dortmund Mengede. Contact before visiting! The club is accepted into the Association.
3.1.5. SCHWÄBISCH SWEETHEARTS SDC, Schwäbisch Hall. Caller: Mack Hickman. Level MS. They have 15 members and they dance on Mon-days at 19.00 hrs. on Dolan Barracks, Schwäbisch Hall. The club is accepted into the Association.
3.1.6. LEVIS ‘N LACE SDC, Nellingen. Caller: Sandy Bandy. They have 14 graduates and they dance on Wednesdays from 19.30 - 22.00 hrs. in the Chapelroom, Nellingen Barracks. Call in advance before visiting! The club is accepted into the Association. !!!! ANNOUNCEMENT 100TH CLUB: BOB announces with pride that Levis 'n Lace tums out to be the 100th Member Club to be accepted into the Association! Congratulations!
3.1.7. SCHOOLHOUSE SQUARES SDC, Worms. Caller: Gene Nazarowitz. They have 30 members and they dance on Fridays 1,2,3,4. at 19.30 hrs. in the School building, Thomas Jefferson Village, Worms. The club is accepted into the Association.
3.1.8. SDG CIRCULATES, Salzgitter-Bad. Caller: Heinz Heitmann. Level: MS. They have 12 graduates and they dance on Wednesdays at 20,00 hrs. in the Scouthouse, Salzgitter-Bad. The club is accepted into the Association.
3.2.1. SIGNING AS WITNESSES: LEONARD invites representatives of the 100th club and of the host club to add their signatures as witnesses in the formal signing tonight. In fact, all of the club representatives are invited to sign on a special ribbon.
3.2.2. NOMINATING COMMITTEE: BOB explains the procedure. LEONARD is to be the point of contact. The committee shall select its own chairperson and speaker. It exists of the following persons: a) Jerry Kent (South Germany); b) Werner Jägers (Central Area); c) Manny Lemanski (North Germany); d) Jette Walter (Berlin Area); e) Bill Morse (Benelux).
3.3. REPORTS ON JAMBOREES 3.3.1. SUMMER JAMBOREE 1981, Münchweiler. Admission only DM. 8.00, no advance registration. There is a campground outside the hall. Contact members of the hosting Wheelers & Dealers for sleeping in private homes. For further details see flyers in the hall.
3.3.2. FALL ROUND UP 1981, Berlin. Admission only DM 9.00. It will take place 4, 5, 6 September. Flyers and hotel lists are available at the information desk in the hall. More information will follow in the next Bulletin. Camping for trailers and vans will be next to the hall, for tents in another ground at ten minutes walking distance. Sleeping inside the hall is not allowed. Arrange for accommodation in time! As civilians may not board a duty train, a possibility for buses running will be worked on.
3.3.3. WINTER JAMBOREE 1981, Ketsch. Information will be passed on at the Fall Round Up.
4. BUSINESS AT HAND
4.1. BIDS 4.1.1. WINTER JAMBOREE 1982 Bids have been made by: a) Darmstompers, Darmstadt; b) Mannheim Mixers, Mannheim; c) Hoedowners, Heidelberg. The DARMSTOMPERS get 90 votes and will be the hosting club.
4.1.2. SPRING JAMBOREE 1983 Bids will be accepted at this and at the next Jamboree. Bids standing: a) Mannheim Mixers, Mannheim; b) Rokoko Dancers, Mannheim; c) Bernemer Squeezers, Frankfurt.
4.2. RECOGNITION: BOB expresses the Boards recognition for an excellent job, as done by INGE & BERNHARD STOELK and he appoints them "OFFICIAL EAASDC HISTORIANS". (This honorary office is not a Board position.) Thank you, Inge & Bernhard, for what you have accomplished and keep on doing the good work! Pass on your news on Jamborees as fast as possible to: Inge & Bemhard Stoelk, Freiberger Ring 3-493, 6800 Mannheim 42.
5. OTHER BUSINESS 5.1. RETUMING OF BANNERS The Kätchen Swingers retum 2: to the Kut Ups and the Mannheim Mixers; the Wheelers & Dealers retum 1: to the Mosquito Twirlers; the Rokoko Dancers retum 1: to the Glow Worms; the Hicks & Chicks retum 4: to the Bridgehouse Twirlers, the Crackers, the Swinging Stars and the Boots & Ruffles.
5.2. INQUIRIES Answer: It will hardly be possible to hold General Membership Meetings on school-free Saturdays, as these differ throughout Germany. However, clubs who are to host jamborees should consider not to take the first Saturday of a month.

PROTOKOLL DER ALLGEMEINEN MITGLIEDERVERSAMMLUNG VOM 4. APRIL 1981 ANLÄSSLICH DER SPRING JAMBOREE IN KETSCH
1. VERLESUNG DER MITGLIEDERLISTE 1.1. Die folgenden Mitgliederklubs tragen sich ein: (siehe englische Fassung).
2. ÄLTERE ANGELEGENHEITEN
2.1. Das PROTOKOLL der Allgemeinen Mitgliederversammlung vom 13.Dez.1980 der Winter Jamboree in Plankstadt wird, wie veröffentlicht in der Januar-Ausgabe des Bulletin, angenommen ohne Bemerkungen.
2.2. Die FINANZBERICHTE vom 10. Dez. 1980 (siehe Januar-Ausgabe des Bulletin) und vom 12.März 1981 (siehe März-Ausgabe des Bulletin) werden angenommen ohne Bemerkungen.
2.3. Der FINANZBERICHT zur Winter Jamboree 1980, wie von den Rokoko Dancers erstellt und in der März-Ausgabe des Bulletin veröffentlicht, wird angenommen ohne Bemerkungen. Der Erlös für EAASDC ist DM 706,23. Dankeschön, Rokoko Dancers, und ebenfalls für die schöne Ausschmückung!
2.4. VERSICHERUNG UND GEMABERICHT: 17 Klubs haben ihre Mitgliederlisten noch nicht eingereicht, folglich können noch keine genauen Zahlen erstellt werden über wie viel die Haftpflicht- und Unfallversicherung kosten wird. PETER empfiehlt, am Eingang eine Kopie des EAASDC/GEMA Vertrags vorzuzeigen und keine zusätzlichen GEMA Beiträge zu leisten.
2.5. WERBUNG
2.5.1. SEATTLE BANNER: BOB bittet dringend darum, dass Klubabzeichen für dieses Banner an ILSE gelangen.
2.5.2. BULLETIN: Setzt Euch in Verbindung mit BOB, wenn Euer Klub keine Ausgabe erhält. Bringt Eure Verbesserungsvorschläge und dergleichen auch zu seiner Beachtung. Jahresabonnements sind noch erhältlich zu DM 20,00 pro Abonnement; Ausgaben bis zurück zum Januar 1981 sind noch erhältlich.
2.5.3. KARTEN FÜR DAS FREUNDSCHAFTSABZEICHEN: Reicht Eure Karten ein bei LEONARD. Vermerken ob "rot" oder "gold".
2.5.4. AUFNAHME AUF VIDEOBAND: Es werden heute Abend Aufnahmen gemacht auf Videoband von der offiziellen Unterzeichnung der neuen Verfassung und Statuten. Kopien auf VHS-Kassetten sind erhältlich bei John Swaffield, Kontaktperson der Heidelberg Hoedowners.
2.6. CHALLENGE TÄNZE: Klubs, die zukünftige Jamborees organisieren, werden gebeten, in Betracht zu ziehen, ob "challenge" im Programm anzusetzen wäre.
3. NEUE ANGELEGENHEITEN
3.1. NEUE KLUBS
3.1.1. MOONLIGHT TWIRLERS ROUND DANCE CLUB, Würzburg. Cuer: Gerti Bartoschek. Sie haben 12 Graduierte und eine Class. Sie tanzen jeden Dienstag um 20:00 Uhr in der Eichendorff-Schule, Gerbrunn. Der Klub wurde in den Verband aufgenommen.
3.1.2. H-PEELERS SQUARE DANCE CLUB, Bensheim. Caller: Steve Walton. Level: MS. Sie haben 29 Mitglieder und tanzen jeden Donnerstag um 20:00 Uhr im Konvikt (Schule), Bensheim. Achtung: Donnerstag wird bald Montag! Der Klub wurde in den Verband aufgenommen.
3.1.3. JOLLY JOKERS SQUARE DANCE CLUB, München. Caller: Hank Meyer. Cuer: Manu Meyer. Level: MS/QS + APD, in Zukunft ebenfalls Plus I und II. Sie haben 20 Mitglieder und tanzen jeden Donnerstag um 19:30 Uhr im Freizeitheim Perlacherstraße, München. Der Klub wurde in den Verband aufgenommen.
3.1.4. KOHLENPOTT HOPPERS SQUARE DANCE CLUB, Dortmund. Caller: Andreas Sassmann. Level: MS/QS. Sie haben 13 Mitglieder und tanzen jeden Donnerstag von 20:00 - 22:00 Uhr im Kath. Jugendheim St. Remigius, Dortmund-Mengede. Bei Besuchen vorher Kontakt aufnehmen! Der Klub wurde in den Verband aufgenommen.

3.1.6. LEVIS 'N LACES SQUARE DANCE CLUB, Nellingen. Caller: Sandy Bandy. Sie haben 14 Graduierte und tanzen jeden Mittwoch von 19:30 - 22:00 Uhr in der Chapel, Nellingen Kaserne. Bei Besuchen vorher anrufen! Der Klub wurde in den Verband aufgenommen.
100. KLUB: BOB verkündet voller Stolz, dass Levis 'N Laces der 100. Mitgliedklub sei, der in den Verband aufgenommen wurde. Unsere Glückwünsche!
3.1.7. SCHOOLHOUSE SQUARES SQUARE DANCE CLUB, Worms. Caller: Gene Nazarowitz. Sie haben 30 Mitglieder und tanzen den 1.2.3. und 4.Freitag im Monat um 10:30 Uhr im Schulgebäude, Thomas Jefferson Village, Worms. Der Klub wurde in den Verband aufgenommen.
3.1.8. SDG CIRCULATES, Salzgitter-Bad. Caller: Heinz Heitmann. Level: MS. Sie haben 12 Graduierte und tanzen jeden Mittwoch um 20:00 Uhr im Pfadfinderheim, Salzgitter-Bad. Der Klub wurde in den Verband aufgenommen.
3.2.1. UNTERZEICHNUNG ALS ZEUGEN: LEONARD lädt den Vertreter des l00. Klubs und des gastgebenden Vereins ein, an erster Stelle als Zeugen bei der offiziellen Unterzeichnung ihre Unterschrift hinzuzufügen. Außerdem sind alle anderen Klubvertreter eingeladen zur Unterschrift auf einem speziellen Band.
3.2.2. NOMINIERUNGSAUSSCHUSS: BOB erläutert das Verfahren. LEONARD wird Kontaktstelle sein. Der Ausschuss soll seinen eigenen Vorsitzenden und Sprecher wählen. Er besteht aus den folgenden Personen: 1. Jerry Kent (Süddeutschland); 2. Werner Jägers (zentrale Gegend); 3. Manni Lemanski (Norddeutschland); 4. Jette Walter (Berlin); 5. Bill Morse (BENELUX).
3.3. BERICHTE ZU JAMBOREES
3.3.1. SUMMER JAMBOREE 1981, Münchweiler Eintrittspreis nur DM 8,00, keine Voranmeldung. Der Campingplatz ist neben der Halle. Bitte Kontakt aufnehmen mit Mitgliedern der gastgebenden Wheelers & Dealers für private Übernachtungen. Für mehr Einzelheiten siehe Informationsmaterial in der Halle.
3.3.2. FALL ROUND UP 1981, Berlin Eintrittspreis nur DM 9,00. Datum ist der 4. - 6. September, Informationsmaterial und Hotellisten liegen aus beim Informationsstand in der Halle. Mehr Information erfolgt im nächsten Bulletin. Camping für Campingfahrzeuge wird neben der Halle sein, für Zelte an einem anderen Ort, in zehn Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Schlafen in der Halle ist nicht erlaubt. Rechtzeitig für Unterkunft sorgen! Da Zivilpersonen nicht in einen Militärzug steigen dürfen, wird eine Möglichkeit ausgearbeitet, dass Busse fahren.
3.3.3. WINTER JAMBOREE 1981, Ketsch Informationsmaterial wird vorhanden sein auf dem Fall Round Up.
4. AKTUELLES
4.1 BEWERBUNGEN
4.1.1. WINTER JAMBOREE 1982: Bewerbungen waren eingebracht worden von: a) Darmstompers Darmstadt; b) Mannheim Mixers, und c) Heidelberg Hoedowners. Die Darmstompers erhalten 90 Stimmen und werden der gastgebende Klub sein.
4.1.2. SPRING JAMBOREE 1983: Bewerbungen bei dieser und bei der nächsten Jamboree. Bereits eingebrachte Bewerbungen: a) Mannheim Mixers; b) Rokoko Dancers; c) Bernemer Squeezers.
4.2. ANERKENNUNG: BOB bringt die Anerkennung des EAASDC Vorstands zum Ausdruck für die ausgezeichnete Arbeit von INGE UND BERNHARD STÖLK, und ernennt sie zu "OFFIZIELLEN EAASDC CHRONISTEN". (Dieses Amt ist kein Vorstandsposten). Dankeschön, Inge und Bernhard, für was Ihr geleistet habt und macht bitte so weiter! Alle Klubs sollten ihre Informationen über Jamborees so schnell wie möglich an die beiden weitergeben: Inge und Bernhard Stölk, Freiberger Ring 3-493, 6800 Mannheim 42.
5. VERSCHIEDENES
5.1. RÜCKGABE VON KLUBFAHNEN: Die Kätchen Swingers geben zwei Banner zurück; an die Kut Ups und an die Mannheim Mixers; die Wheelers & Dealers geben eins zurück an die Mosquito Twirlers; die Rokoko Dancers geben eins zurück an die Glow Worms; die Hicks & Chicks geben vier Banner zurück an die Bridgehouse Twirlers, die Crackers, die Swinging Stars und an die Boots & Ruffles.
5.2. ANFRAGEN: Antwort: Es wird kaum möglich sein, die Allgemeine Mitgliederversammlung künftig nur an schulfreien Samstagen abzuhalten, da diese in ganz Deutschland verschieden sind. Jedoch sollten Klubs, die eine Jamboree veranstalten, dringend in Betracht ziehen, eventuell vom bisher üblichen ersten Wochenende des Monats abzukommen ("Langer Samstag").
