MINUTES of the GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING on June 11, 1983 in Bonn

(2) Secretary's report of the General Membership Meeting, held on March 19, 1983 in Unterpleichfeld, published in the April issue of the Bulletin, is accepted.
(3) Treasurer's report as of May 12, 1983, published in the June issue of the Bulletin, is accepted.
(4) EAASDC Board reports - The President reports that for three Charter dances the Gema forms are still missing for the 84 calendar and that for every Special dance, also for jamborees a Gema form must be sent in.
- The Secretary reports that there are still some clubs that have not picked up their membership cards.
- The Treasurer reports that some copies of the National Square Dance Directory are available for DM 12,00
- The President introduced the new Publicity Directors of EAASDC, Pat and Nick Casper. Congratulations and welcome to the Board. Also those clubs that have not sent in a club badge for our Badge-Banner are reminded to please do so. Right now our banner is in Louisville, Kentucky for the National Convention.
- The Editor reminded that all flyers that are sent in for publication in the Bulletin must be in clear black and white and have some space left on the sides. The Editor also asks that address-changes for private subscribers should be mailed to him, as there are always a large number of Bulletins returned. He also reminded the clubs that the Bulletin is information for all club members and not only for the person who receives it. So please make sure that your club members can get a hold of the Bulletin.
- -The Business Manager announces again that the insurance is DM 45,00 per club or DM 1,00 per person when your club has less than 45 members and mails a membership list. Peter reads a list of those clubs that have not sent in money or list. If those clubs have not responded until October 1, 1983, they will have to pay full price, also in the future. In the future, starting 1984, all monies will be handled by the Treasurer (dues and insurance). Peter also invites all people interested to come to the Seminar at 1900.
Old Business
(5) The President reports that all clubs have paid their dues now. He apologized that there was an error on the EAASDC board and the Guns and Garters have paid their dues which means they are still members of the Association.
(6) Courtesy committee There will be a styling Workshop at the Round-Up in Munich which will take place at the Workshop in the afternoon and during the main dance on Saturday night. It is also planned that AI Stevens will submit monthly inputs to the Bulletin that represent Square Dancing and ECTA views of styling. Everybody is still encouraged to submit information or suggestions to AI Stevens or Bob and Loni Masson.
(7) Honorary Membership The President reported that he did give Ilse and Erwin their honorary life-time membership badges last Thursday as they could not be here this week-end. Thanks again for your outstanding job.
New Business
(8) The following new clubs are welcomed to the Association: - Stuttgarter Rebläuse, Stuttgart-Vaihingen They dance every Thursday at Schützenhaus Heslach at 2000 and their caller is Ulli Schingen.
- Spinning Onions, Griesheim (near Darmstadt) They dance every Thursday at Georg-August-Zinn-Haus in Griesheim at 2000 and their caller is Freddy Kamuff.
- Witches and Wizards, Nieder-Roden They dance every Friday at Puiseauxplatz at 1930 and their caller is Uwe Krämer.
- Hill Top Squares, Baumholder (near Idar-Oberstein) They dance every Monday at Ev. Gemeindehaus Baumholder at 1930 and their caller is Kevin Brown.
(9) Jamboree Reports by the - Bonn Square Dance Group (Summer Jamboree 1983) - Motivators (Fall Round-Up 1983) - no report by the Pershing Promenaders (Winter Jamboree 83) - no report by the International Squares (Spring Jamboree 84) - Brussels Dancing Hearts (Summer Jamboree 1984)
(10) Bids - Summer Jamboree 1985: Bids are made by the Paws & Taws and the Bavarian Stompers- The bid by the Paws & Taws gets the majority vote. Other bids: none
The President announces that the voting for the Summer Jamboree 1986 will take place at the Round-Up in Munich and that the voting for the Spring Jamboree 1987 will take place at the Winter Jamboree in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
(11) Nomination Committee The chairman of the Nominating Committee reports that there is only one nominee for President:
Jerry & Kathy Kent The President informs the membership that he will be in Europe only until August 1984, which means that the Vice President would have to take his part for one or two months and at one meeting.
There was a motion made, seconded and carried that nominations are closed today.
(12) The President reports that he has contact with Carl Kaye in Vienna. The dancers there are planning to have a big dance next summer. This might be interesting to dancers who spend their vacation in Austria.

(14) The President thanks Hilde for translating this meeting.
(15) Peter Baker from England introduces himself and asks the membership if there is any interest in having an Jamboree or Round-Up in England in cooperation with the BAASDC. The President asks the member clubs to think about the idea and we will get back to this subject at the next meeting. Peter will contact to BAASDC in the meantime and give us more information at the Round-Up.
Peter also offered his Services for those dancers who might want to travel to England. EAASDC Publicity has the information.
(16) As there are still some unclear points about the Student Parties, the President will get together with ECTA again to clarify them until the Round-Up.

PROTOKOLL der ALLGEMEINEN MITGLIEDERVERSAMMLUNG am 11. Juni 1983 in Bonn
(1) Verlesung der Anwesenheitsliste Die folgenden Mitgliedervereine tragen sich ein: (siehe englische Fassung).
(2) Der Bericht des Schriftführers der Allgemeinen Mitgliederversammlung vom 19. März 1983 in Unterpleichfeld, veröffentlicht in der April-Ausgabe des Bulletins, wird angenommen.
(3) Der Bericht des Schatzmeisters per 12. Mai 1983, veröffentlicht in der Juni-Ausgabe des Bulletins, wird angenommen.
(4) Berichte des EAASDC-Vorstandes
- Der Präsident gibt bekannt, dass für drei Charter Dances die Gema-Formulare für den Kalender 1984 noch fehlen und erinnert außerdem daran, dass für jeden Special Dance, auch für Jamborees ein Gema-Formular eingeschickt werden muss.
- Der Schriftführer berichtet, dass noch immer einige Clubs ihre Mitgliedskarten nicht abgeholt haben.
- Der Schatzmeister gibt bekannt, dass noch einige Exemplare der National Square Dance Directory zum Preis von DM 12,-- zu haben sind.
- Der Präsident stellt die neuen Publicity Directors von EAASDC vor, Pat und Nick Casper und heißt sie herzlich im Vorstand willkommen. Die Clubs, die noch kein Club-Badge zur Verfügung gestellt haben, werden nochmals daran erinnert, es an uns für unser Badge-Banner zu senden. Dieses ist momentan in Louisville, Kentucky zur National Convention.
- Der Editor wies nochmals darauf hin, dass Flyers für Veröffentlichungen im Bulletin in kräftigem schwarz/weiß sein müssen und außerdem genügend freien Rand haben. Er bittet außerdem die privaten Abonnenten, Adressenänderungen rechtzeitig bekannt zu geben, da immer wieder einige Bulletins nicht zustellbar sind. Die Clubs werden außerdem nochmals darauf hingewiesen, dass das Bulletin allen Clubmitgliedern zur Verfügung stehen sollte und nicht nur demjenigen, der es zugeschickt bekommt.
- Der Business Manager weist nochmals darauf hin, dass der Versicherungsbeitrag DM 45,— pro Club ist oder DM 1,-- per Person, wenn Euer Club weniger als 45 Mitglieder hat und eine Mitgliederliste einsendet.
Peter verliest die Namen der Clubs, von denen entweder keine Liste oder kein Geld vorliegt. Sollten diese Clubs bis zum 1. Oktober 83 darauf nicht reagieren, müssen sie den vollen Preis bezahlen, auch in der Zukunft. Zukünftig, beginnend 1984, werden alle Gelder an den Schatzmeister bezahlt (Beiträge und Versicherung). Peter lädt alle Interessierten zum Seminar um 19.00 Uhr ein.
Alte Angelegenheiten
(5) Der Präsident gibt bekannt, dass inzwischen alle Clubs ihren Beitrag bezahlt haben. Er entschuldigt sich für einen Fehler des Vorstandes, denn die Guns and Garters haben ihren Beitrag längst bezahlt und sind weiterhin Mitglied des Verbandes.
(6) Courtesy Committee Beim Round-Up in München wird es einen Styling Workshop geben, der während dem Workshop am Nachmittag und während des Haupttanzes am Samstagabend stattfindet. AI Stevens hat außerdem zugesagt, einige Artikel an das Bulletin zu geben, die Square Dancing und ECTA-Vorstellungen über Styling darstellen. Jeder, der noch Beiträge hierzu hat, kann diese an AI Stevens oder Bob und Loni Masson weiterleiten.
(7) Ehrenmitgliedschaft Der Präsident gibt bekannt, dass er Ilse und Erwin letzten Donnerstag ihre Ehrenmitglied-Badges überreicht hat, da sie dieses Wochenende nicht nach Bonn kommen konnten. Nochmals vielen Dank für Eure hervorragende Arbeit.
Neue Angelegenheiten
(8) Folgende neuen Clubs werden im Verband aufgenommen: - Stuttgarter Rebläuse, Stuttgart-Vaihingen Der Club tanzt jeden Donnerstag im Schützenhaus Heslach um 2000 Uhr und ihr Caller ist Ulli Schingen.

(10) Bewerbungen Summer Jamboree 1985: Bewerbungen liegen vor von den Paws & Taws und den Bavarian Stompers. Die Bewerbung der Paws & Taws bekommt die Stimmenmehrheit. Andere Bewerbungen: keine
Der Präsident gibt bekannt, dass die Abstimmung für die Summer Jamboree 1986 beim Round-Up in München und die Abstimmung für die Spring Jamboree 1987 bei der Winter Jamboree in Schwäbisch Gmünd stattfindet.
(11) Nominierungsausschuss Der Sprecher des Nominierungsausschusses gibt bekannt, dass nur eine einzige Bewerbung als Präsident vorliegt:
Jerry und Kathy Kent Der Präsident macht die Mitglieder darauf aufmerksam, dass er nur bis zum August 1984 in Europa ist und der Vize-Präsident für den Rest der Amtszeit und bei einer Mitgliederversammlung seinen Platz einnehmen muss. Es wurde der Antrag gestellt und darüber abgestimmt, dass die Nominierungen hiermit abgeschlossen sind.
(12) Der Präsident berichtet, dass er zu Carl Kaye in Wien Kontakt hat. Die Tänzer planen dort für nächstes Jahr einen großen Tanz, was vielleicht für diejenigen interessant ist, die dort ihren Urlaub verbringen.
(13) Banner werden zurückgegeben.
(14) Der Präsident bedankt sich bei Hilde für die Übersetzung der Versammlung.
(15) Peter Baker aus England stellt sich vor und fragt, ob Interesse daran besteht, evtl. eine Jamboree oder ein Round-Up in England zu veranstalten. Der Präsident bittet die Clubs darüber nachzudenken. Beim Round-Up werden wir auf dieses Thema nochmals zurückkommen und auch Peter wird sich in der Zwischenzeit mit der BAASDC in Verbindung setzen und uns hierüber dann berichten.
Außerdem bietet Peter denjenigen seine Hilfe an, die nach England reisen wollen. EAASDC Publicity hat alle Informationen.
(16) Da immer noch einige Unklarheiten über die Student Parties bestehen, wird sich der Präsident nochmals mit ECTA in Verbindung setzen um diese bis zum Round-Up zu klären.
