President
Rainer reiterates his new address,
which has already been printed in the last issue of the
Bulletin.
Flyers for the 2nd
European Convention are available and in envelopes on the Flyer table for
each club. A Round Dance program will also be provided at the Convention.
Will clubs which are hosting a Jamboree, please send or give an
extra packet of Flyers to the national representatives to distribute in their
countries

GEMA
forms & EAASDC Calendar
Hans requests that only the newly distributed
GEMA form, which was stapled in the August directory of the Bulletin, be
used, and not the old postcards. Additionally he mentions that the form of
the calendar has changed a little bit. A contact telephone number, which is
given to him on the form, is included. From now on he also will provide the
Zip Code for the danceplace, if this is on the form.
Friendship-Book:
Hans states that it is against the
rules of the friendship book to advertise on a Flyer for a Special that the
friendship book will be signed. That is not allowed. A signature should only
be given for visiting a regular clubnight.
Square
Dance Shops:
He passes on the information, that
there is no longer a common representative for renting space for the shops. Lothar
Weidich did this in the past. Each shop owner should contact the club
individually.
BULLETIN Administrator:
Katharina expresses her thanks that
almost 20% of the readers use direct debit for the Bulletin subscription. She
asks that club boards please inform all dancers that anyone can subscribe to
the Bulletin. It is not only for Board members. Everybody can read it as well
as subscribe to it.

Delivery
time for Bulletin.
Hansjörg gives information of slight
changes to the Bulletin delivery date. Right now you get two issues
in four weeks and the next issue eight weeks later. Because of
the deadline there is not enough time to react to readers letters or to
renewal reminders from Katharina. He will change the timeframe to every six
weeks.

Barbara asks everyone to please use
only the new e-mail address that was printed in the June issue.
Additionally she offers to provide those dancers who want to travel to Holland with club information for clubs
that are not in the EAASDC.

Clubs, which have applied for membership are presented in the Bulletin, we
only want to know if there are any objections to their membership within the
EAASDC. We are not concerned with corrections to dance place or caller name

TOP 2. Berichte
Präsident
Rainer gibt nochmals seine neue Anschrift, die bereits im
letzten Bulletin veröffentlicht wurde, bekannt.
Flyer für die 2. Europäische Convention sind inzwischen
eingetroffen und für die Clubs zum Mitnehmen in Umschlägen auf den Flyer-Tischen
ausgelegt. Ein Round Dance Programm wird es ebenfalls auf der Convention
geben.
Clubs, welche ein Jamboree veranstalten, werden
gebeten, an die Nationalen Repräsentanten jeweils ein Paket Flyer zur Verteilung
zukommen lassen.

GEMA-Formulare
& EAASDC Kalender
Hans bittet, nur das neue GEMA Formular zu verwenden,
welches mit dem August-Directory des Bulletins bereits versandt wurde, bzw.
darin abgeheftet war und nicht die alten Postkarten. Zusätzlich erwähnt er,
daß sich die Form des Kalenders im Bulletin dahingehend verändert hat, daß
die Kontakttelefonmummer aufgeführt ist, die auf dem GEMA-Formular angegeben
war. In Zukunft werden wir auch die PLZ des Tanzplatzes veröffentlichen,
wenn diese auf dem Formular steht.
Friendship-Book
Hans gibt bekannt, daß es gegen die Regeln des Friendship-Books
verstößt, auf einem Flyer für einen Special damit zu werben, daß dort Friendship-Books
unterschrieben werden. Dies ist nicht zulässig, eine Unterschrift ist nur für
den Besuch des regulären Clubabends gedacht.

Dance Shops:
Er gibt den Hinweis weiter, daß es keinen Repräsentanten
mehr für die Anmietung der Shops gibt. Lothar Weidich tat dies in der
Vergangenheit. Jeder Shopbesitzer möchte sich bitte direkt an die Clubs
wenden.
BULLETIN Administrator:
Katharina bedankt sich dafür, daß schon ca. 20% der
Leser das Lastschrifteinzugsverfahren für das Bulletin Abonnement nutzen. Sie
erinnert daran, daß die Clubvorstände ihre Tänzer doch bitte darüber
informieren möchten, daß das Bulletin von jedem abonniert werden darf. Es ist
nicht nur für den Clubvorstand gedacht.
BULLETIN Editor:
Lieferrhythmus
des Bulletins.
Hansjörg kündigt eine kleine Änderung der
Erscheinungsdaten des Bulletin an. Zur Zeit erscheinen 2 Ausgaben mit 4
Wochen Abstand und dann die nächste Ausgabe erst wieder in 8 Wochen. Durch
den Redaktionsschluß am 10. des Vormonats ist oft keine Zeit für Leserbriefe
oder auf die Zahlungsaufforderung von Katharina zu reagieren. Er wird den
Lieferzeitraum auf 6 Wochen umstellen.
Repräsentant für die Niederlande.
Barbara bittet darum, nur noch die neue E-mail Adresse,
wie im Juni Bulletin abgedruckt, zu verwenden. Sie bietet an, jedem Tänzer,
der Holland besuchen möchte, Clubinformationen zu geben auch über Clubs, die
nicht in der EAASDC sind.
Schatzmeister:
Jürgen gibt bekannt, daß der Finanzreport am Infostand
bei ihm eingesehen werden kann.

TOP 4. Neuaufnahme von
Mitgliedern
Harry gibt noch einmal bekannt, daß es bei den im
Bulletin vorgestellten Clubs, die einen Aufnahmeantrag gestellt haben, nicht
darum geht, wie der Caller heißt oder wo der Tanzplatz ist, sondern darum, ob
der Gemeinschaft irgendetwas bekannt ist, das gegen eine Aufnahme in die EAASDC-Gemeinschaft
spricht.

5.
Reduction of number of Jamborees
Hans states why the reduction of Jamborees
is included on the agenda
The number of dancers participating
in Jamborees in the last few years has decreased. Therefore Jamborees have become
a subsidy business for EAASDC because, in accordance with the rules, we have
to compensate the losses. These are in the amount of almost 5000,-- to
7000,-- DM per year.
Therefore the basic idea is to reduce
the number of Jamborees to only one or two per year.

We have to stay with the Fall Round Up, because the statutes say it is a must. A second Jamboree to be
held sometime in Spring or in Summer is suggested by the Board.

The Student Jamboree, which is handled and run
separately by ECTA, should stay as it is. We only thought about possibly delaying
the Spring Jamboree, as the Student and spring Jamborees are only weeks
apart.
As the Board cannot make a final decision,
it only wants to suggest to the membership points for discussion. Should a
principal agreement be found the Board can prepare the necessary steps prior
to the Fall Round Up.
The most important point is that the
voting should not be done only by the clubs which are represented at this
meeting, as this is less than 25% of our membership.
A written ballot to be sent to all
EAASDC member clubs will be prepared, so that each club can vote.
Detailed information will be published
in the Bulletin (see page 19).
After a detailed and somewhat controversial
discussion, particularly with regard to the costs of a Jamboree, the Board
was asked to provide some assistance with the questions of organization and
costs.
6.
Advertisements for Jamborees
At the Spring Jamboree a petition was
brought to limit the advertising of a Jamboree in the Bulletin to one time
only, in order to be fair to all clubs. Different suggestions have been made by club
members, but none in writing. Therefore the original petition stands.
Voting about the petition as it was
printed in the May issue of the Bulletin:

Now all those preparing for a Jamboree will be treated equally.
Each Jamboree will be advertised only once in that Bulletin preceding the
event.
7.
Reduced entrance fees at Jamborees.
Because the Board did not get enough
information for this point of the agenda it will postpone it to the next
meeting.
8.
Jamborees: reports, dates and bids.
Franz Schweiger from the Swinging
Bells in Munich gives a short
run-down about the 45. Fall Round Up in Dachau. There are 3 halls very close to each other. Everything is on the
program. The price for the Badge is 20,--DM. Kids under the age of 14 are
free. They will also provide child-care on Saturday from 12 o'clock on. Sleeping in the hall is possible
for 5,-- DM. Space for Campers and tents is close by. You can bring your own
food to the afterparty.
Information about the Summer Jamboree
will be postponed to the Fall Round Up. There are applications from the ‘Moonspinners'
in Dietzenbach and from the ‘Yellow Rockers' in Kiel. Those Clubs will present the information in the next Bulletin.
The members then should decide at the Fall Round Up where the Summer Jamboree
will be.
10. AOB
Richard from the Kuntry Kuzins gives
information on how the shops are handled in Wiesbaden. As long as this is restricted to bona fide clubs and visitors,
no extra fee must be paid.
But please check if this is handled
in the same way in your city.

TOP 5. Reduzierung der
Anzahl der Jamborees
Hans erläutert, warum die Reduzierung zur Anzahl der Jamborees
zur Diskussion gestellt wird:
Die Zahl der Teilnehmer ist in den letzten Jahren
erheblich zurückgegangen. Dadurch wurden die Jamborees für die EAASDC ein
Zuschußbetrieb, da diese Defizite gemäß Satzung auszugleichen sind. Dies beläuft
sich inzwischen auf ca. 5000,-- bis 7000,-- DM pro Jahr.
Daher der Vorschlag: Eine Reduzierung der Anzahl der Jamborees
auf eine oder zwei pro Jahr.
·
Auf jeden Fall soll das Fall Round Up beibehalten
werden. Es ist gemäß Satzung zwingend vorgesehen. Ein zweites Jamboree könnte
zwischen den heutigen Terminen für Spring und Summer Jamboree stattfinden.
·
Das Student Jamboree, das in alleiniger Regie von ECTA
durchgeführt wird, soll selbstverständlich beibehalten werden. Es wurde daher
nur über eine eventuelle Verschiebung des Spring Jamboree nachgedacht.
Student und Spring Jamboree liegen nur 14 Tage auseinander.
Da darüber keine Entscheidung vom Board getroffen werden
kann, sollen diese Punkte den Mitgliedern zur Diskussion vorgestellt werden.
Sollte eine prinzipielle Zustimmung vorhanden sein, könnten dann zum Fall
Round Up alle formalen Schritte vorbereitet werden.
Es ist sehr wichtig, daß nicht nur von den anwesenden
Clubs entschieden wird, da dies weniger als 25% der Mitglieder sind.
Es soll dann ein Abstimmungsbogen an alle EAASDC
Mitgliedclubs versandt werden, damit jeder Club die Möglichkeit zur Abstimmung
hat.
Die ausführliche Information wird im Bulletin
veröffentlicht (siehe Seite 19).
Nach ausführlicher, lebhafter und zum Teil kontroverser
Diskussion, besonders zum Punkt Jamboree-Kosten, wurde der Vorstand gebeten,
die veranstaltenden Clubs bei Organisations- und Kostenfragen für ein Jamboree
besser zu unterstützen.
TOP 6. Werbung für Jamborees
Es war beim Spring Jamboree der Antrag gestellt worden,
nur noch einmal je Jamboree im Bulletin Werbung abzudrucken, um die ungleiche
Behandlung wegen der Erscheinungstermine des Bulletins abzustellen. Aus der
Mitgliedschaft kommen anderslauternde Vorschläge und Änderungswünsche zum gestellten
Antrag. Dazu wird festgestellt, daß nur über zuvor veröffentlichte Anträge
abgestimmt werden darf. Änderungswünsche wurden aber nicht eingereicht.
Abstimmung über den Antrag wie im Mai Bulletin
abgedruckt:

Damit ist für alle Ausrichter eines Jamboree eine
Gleichstellung erreicht. Jedes Jamboree wird nur einmal in dem Bulletin des
Monats vor der Veranstaltung veröffentlicht.
TOP 7. Ermäßigte Eintrittspreise an Jamborees.
Leider hat das Board noch nicht genügend Informationen
erhalten. Daher wurde dieser Punkt auf das nächste Meeting verschoben.
TOP 8. Jamborees: Termine,
Bewerbungen.
Franz Schweiger von den Swinging Bells berichtet über
die Ausrichtung des 45. Fall Round Ups in Dachau. Es sind drei Hallen die
sehr dicht zusammen liegen. Das Programm bietet alles. Badgepreis 20,-- DM.
Kinder unter 14 Jahren haben freien Eintritt. Am Samstag gibt es ab 12:00Uhr
Kinderbetreuung. Hallenübernachtung ist für DM 5.-- möglich. Platz für
Wohnmobile und Zelte ist auch in der Nähe. Essen für die Afterparty kann
selbst mitgebracht werden.
Die Information über das Sommerjamboree im Jahre 2001
wird bis zum Fall Round Up zurückgestellt. Es liegen Bewerbungen von den
"Moonspinners" in Dietzenbach und den "Yellow Rockers" in Kiel vor. Diese
zwei Clubs werden sich im nächsten Bulletin selbst vorstellen. Die Mitglieder
können dann beim Fall Round Up entscheiden, wo die Sommerjamboree
stattfindet.
TOP 10. Verschiedenes
Richard von den Kuntry Kuzins gibt eine Information über
die Behandlung der Shops in Wiesbaden weiter: Sofern die Vereine und Besucher
zu benennen sind, gilt dies als Interessengemeinschaft und eine Genehmigung
ist nicht vorgeschrieben.
Es sollte jedoch unbedingt in der eigenen Stadt
nachgefragt werden, ob es da genauso gehandhabt wird.
