| This is a topic for all those creating flyers
and for those who have to add and arrange flyers in a flyer book. Often
in the course of a dance night a whole stack of flyers has to be sorted
with regard to the date of the event and then added into the flyer book.
We take the flyers out of the envelopes and because of the variety of fonts seek with effort for the date of the event. Some flyers are clearly arranged, others contain a lot of small pictures, ornate, lines and boarders. Very often each flyer is a small piece of art itself. The disadvantage is that one does not easily find the date of the event while sorting the flyers. My suggestion is to show the club name, the dance location and the date of the event as three index lines at the right-hand corner of a flyer, the small pieces of art could be easily sorted and also easily found in the flyer book. Imagine to browse through the flyer book, taking a look at the right-hand corner, trying to find a dance event on …th of May 2001; our goal could be easily reached thanks to a new sorting routine. The font for the index line in the right-hand corner should be easy to read and without ornate. When a flyer has been created in landscape format, normally the flyers are put in a transparent foil into the flyer book so that the footer points to the right side. The viewer has to turn the flyer book by 90° clockwise to be able to read. In this case, the index line should be shown at the lower right corner (see picture). Ein Thema für alle, die Flyer gestalten
und für die, die Flyer in die Mappe einsortieren müssen. Oft
müssen an einem Clubabend ein ganzer Packen neuer Flyer in die Flyermappe
nach Datum einsortiert werden.
Wir entnehmen die Flyer aus den Briefkuverts und suchen oft mühevoll in der Schriftenvielfalt nach dem Veranstaltungsdatum. Einige Flyer sind sauber und übersichtlich gestaltet, andere sind voll mit kleinen Bildchen, Schnörkeln, Linien und Rahmen. Jeder Flyer ist aber auch oft ein kleines Kunstwerk. Nachteil: man findet beim Sortieren nicht sofort das Veranstaltungsdatum! Mein Vorschlag: Wenn oben rechts in der Flyer-Ecke der Clubname, der Tanzort und das Datum als drei Index-Zeilen ständen, dann wären die kleinen Kunstwerke schnell sortiert und aber auch in der Flyermappe schnell gefunden! Stellen wir uns vor, wir blättern die Mappe wie ein Daumenkino mit Blick auf die obere rechte Ecke einmal durch und suchen z.B. eine Veranstaltung am x. Mai 2001, dann wären wir schnell, Dank einer neuen Sortierroutine, an unser Ziel gelangt. Der Schrifttyp für die obere rechte Ecke sollte einfach und unverschnörkelt sein. Falt-Flyer im DIN-A-4 Querformat werden normalerweise so eingeheftet oder in die Klarsichtfolie gesteckt, dass der Schriftfuß zur rechten Seite zeigt - also die Mappe wird vom Betrachter zum Lesen um 90° Grad im Uhrzeigersinn gedreht. Hier müssten die Index-Zeilen unten rechts eingebracht werden (siehe Abb.). Ich selber gestalte meine Flyer immer mit Index-Zeilen. Vielleicht findet mein Vorschlag viele, viele Anhänger! |
