Evaluation of the Questionnaires / Auswertung der Fragebögen (5)

In 2003 we asked the dancers for

their opinion. The evaluation of the

comments on the questionnaires

has naturally taken a bit longer.

Here is the fifth collection of inter-

esting comments:

I distinguish when considering the

effort required to go to a dance event

between Jamborees and Specials. A

Jamboree has the higher value for me.

There should be a proclamation to

all dancers which makes them under-

stand how fine a Jamboree, for me

the best event, can be. I'm sad that

there are nowadays only two Jambo-

rees a year and that these are not very

well visited.

More than two Jamborees a year!

For myself I don't like Jamborees.

The regulations for the clubs could

be better discussed on a normal one-

day yearly meeting for the club

boards.

Important at a Jamboree are the

Membership Meeting and the semi-

nars for club boards.

Back to the roots – not too much –

not overloaded.

I would like to see Intros to other

types of dancing, e.g. Clogging or

higher levels in Square Dancing.

I would like to see more specialized

squares such as tandems, progressive

squares, and caleidoscopes, etc.

Desirable is a round workshop for

those restarting round dance.

As a round dancer it's my opinion

that Phase III-V is too seldom of-

fered. One has to dance either II-III

or VI.

I don't visit events anymore where

Im Jahr 2003 haben wir eine Tänzer-

befragung durchgeführt. Die Auswertung

der Kommentare auf den Fragebögen hat

naturgemäß etwas länger gedauert. Hier

die fünfte Auswahl von interessanten An-

merkungen:

Ich unterscheide bei dem Aufwand zu ei-

ner Tanzveranstaltung zu fahren zwischen

Jamboree und Special. Ein Jamboree hat für

mich einen höheren Stellenwert.

Es sollte eigentlich ein Aufruf an alle Tän-

zer gehen, der ihnen mal begreiflich macht,

wie toll ein Jamboree – für mich noch im-

mer die schönste Veranstaltung – doch ist.

Ich finde es traurig, dass es nur noch zwei

Jamborees pro Jahr gibt und diese oft mehr

oder weniger schlecht besucht sind.

Mehr als zwei Jamborees!

Jamborees mag ich persönlich überhaupt

nicht. Die Regularien für die Vereine könn-

ten auch auf einer ganz normalen eintägi-

gen jährlichen Sitzung für die Vereinsvor-

stände besser besprochen werden.

Wichtig beim Jamboree sind Membership

Meeting und Fortbildung für Clubvor-

stände.

Back to the roots – nicht zu viel – nicht

überfrachtet.

Ich wünsche mir Intros zu anderen Tanz-

arten, z.B. Clogging oder höhere Level beim

Square.

Es wäre schön, wenn es häufiger speciali-

zed Squares wie Tandems, progressive

squares, caleidoscopes, etc. gäbe.

Wünscheswert ist ein Round Workshop

für Wiedereinsteiger.

Als Round-Tänzer finde ich, dass zu wenig

Phase III-V angeboten wird, entweder man

tanzt II-III oder VI.

Veranstaltungen, bei denen Round getanzt

wird, besuche ich nicht mehr.

Round dance is offered.

Programs with Round Dance: no.

I think it's disadvantageous to mix

Square and Round Dance in one hall:

that ruins the mood.

Offer a mixed level in the halls, not

only hall 1 MS, hall 2 Plus, hall 3

A1/A2. Please change the programs

in the halls around.

A high level is important because

there is seldom opportunity to do it.

Attention should be paid to Jambo-

ree callers being ones who are able to

bring fun to a dancing square.

Good callers, cuers, instructors are

an incentive to go to a Jamboree or

Special.

Good callers and cuers are no guar-

antee for many visitors but bad call-

ers and cuers are a guarantee that

people will stay away.

There are very good junior callers

who should get a chance.

There should be daily tickets for

Jamborees available.

Entrance tickets for Jamborees

should be day specific, more entrance

fee for all three days.

Day tickets for more-day events.

Greater collection of shops, also

cheap shops for people sewing their

own dresses

Sufficient dressing rooms and park-

ing areas.

For the higher dance levels there are

enough possibilities in my neigh-

bourhood.

Re-introduce the 100 km rule.

Please catering during the whole

event – and not only cake.

Children's corner should be offered

and pre-announced on the flyer.

Programme mit Round: nein.

Sehr ungünstig finde ich das Mischen von

Square und Round Dance in einer Halle:

das ruiniert die Stimmung.

In den Hallen ein gemischtes Programm

anbieten, nicht nur Halle 1 MS, Halle 2

Plus, Halle 3 A1/A2. Die Programme in

den Hallen bitte wechseln.

Ein hohes Level ist wichtig, weil es sonst

selten Gelegenheit dazu gibt.

Es sollte darauf geachtet werden, dass bei

einem Jamboree Caller durch das Pro-

gramm führen, die in der Lage sind einem

Square beim Tanzen Freude zu vermitteln.

Gute Caller, Cuer, Instructor sind ein An-

reiz zu einem Jamboree oder Special zu fah-

ren.

Gute Caller und Cuer sind keine Garantie

für das Kommen von vielen Leuten, aber

schlechte Caller und Cuer sind eine Garan-

tie für das Wegbleiben von Leuten.

Es gibt sehr gute Nachwuchscaller, die

auch eine Chance bekommen sollte.

Man sollte bei Jamborees Tageskarten kau-

fen können.

Eintrittskarten für Jamborees sollten ta-

gesspezifisch sein, also mehr Eintritt für alle

drei Tage.

Tages-Eintrittskarten für Mehrtages-Ver-

anstaltungen.

Größere Shopauswahl, auch günstige

Shops für Selbstnäher.

Ausreichend Umkleide- und Parkmöglich-

keiten.

Für die höheren Tanzlevel gibt es im Um-

kreis meines Wohnortes genügend Mög-

lichkeiten.

100km-Regel wieder einführen.

Bitte Verpflegung auch während der Ve r-

anstaltung – und nicht nur Kuchen.

Kinderecke sollte angeboten und vorher

auf dem Flyer angekündigt werden.
