Evaluation of the Questionnaires / Auswertung der Fragebögen (6)

In 2003 we asked the dancers for their opinion.
The evaluation of the comments on the ques-
tionnaires has naturally taken a bit longer.
Here is the sixth collection of interesting com-
ments:
•
Fine that there are such question-
naires!
•
I prefer more Jamborees and less Spe-
cial Dances.
•
Too many events!
•
I wish a Jamboree in the northern part
of Germany.
•
Jamboree in Schleswig-Holstein.
•
Important for me are the EAASDC
and ECTA meetings at Jamborees.
•
At Jamborees the meeting is impor-
tant for me.
•
Also the entrance fees for Jamborees
and events and the price of accom-
modation are important. Not to forget
the travel costs. The higher the prices
the less events I can visit.
•
An event should cover at most a club
evening on Friday and a short Fare-
well dance on Sunday morning. The
club evening must be for no extra
charge. No separate entrance fees for
single days.
•
At Jamborees there should only be MS
offered in the evening programme.
•
In the evening there should only be a
dance in one hall if there is enough
space (i.e. MS and Plus). Round
Dance should not be cued until the
end as this reduces the good atmos-
phere.
•
At "normal" Special Dances not too
many different levels/dance forms
should be offered (MS/PL/RD). At
Jamborees however there has to be
Im Jahr 2003 haben wir eine Tänzerbefragung
durchgeführt. Die Auswertung der Kommentare auf
den Fragebögen hat naturgemäß etwas länger gedau-
ert. Hier die sechste Auswahl von interessanten
Anmerkungen:

Schön, dass es mal so eine Umfrage gibt!
•
Lieber mehr Jamborees und weniger Spe-
cials.
•
Zu viele Veranstaltungen!
•
Ich wünsche ein Jamboree mal in Nord-
deutschland.
•
Jamboree in Schleswig-Holstein.
•
Wichtig bei Jamborees sind für mich die
EAASDC- und ECTA-Meetings.
•
Bei Jamborees ist die Sitzung für mich
wichtig.
•
Auch die Preise für Eintritt bei Jamborees
und Veranstaltungen sowie für Unter-
kunft spielen eine Rolle. Schließlich sind
die Fahrtkosten zu berücksichtigen. Je
höher die Preise, umso weniger Veranstal-
tungen werde ich besuchen.
•
Eine Veranstaltung sollte höchstens einen
Clubabend am Freitag und einen kurzen
Farewell dance am Sonntagmorgen um-
fassen. Der Clubabend darf nicht extra
berechnet werden. Keine Einzelberech-
nung für verschiedene Tage.
•
Bei Jamborees sollte im Abendprogramm
nur noch MS angeboten werden.
•
Am Abend sollte, sofern genügend Platz
da ist, nur noch in einer Halle getanzt
werden (z.B. MS und Plus). Round Dance
sollte nicht bis zum Ende gecuet werden,
da dies meist die gute Stimmung wieder
abflauen lässt.
•
Auf "normalen" Special Dances sollten
nicht zu viele Level/Tanzarten angeboten
werden (MS/PL/RD). Dafür muss auf
Jamborees (wie bisher) für jeden ein aus-

sufficient attractions for everyone.
•
Less is often more ! Don't offer too
many dance forms at Special Dances
and Jamborees.
•
Special Dances with Square and
Round Dancing should be generally
separated.
•
No Round Dancing at Square Danc-
ing events.
•
Too much Round Dancing at Square
Dancing events. They should be on
separate occasions or at least in sepa-
rate halls.
•
Round Dancing should be offered in a
special hall and not alternating with
MS and Plus, also not in the evening
programme !
•
I (MS dancer) wish no breaks for
Round dancing. They should have
their own dance place in a separate
hall.
•
I (still ?) don't dance Round but I en-
joy watching very much.
•
I also like to watch other dance forms.
•
Of course there should also be Contra
and Old Style offered.
•
It would be useful if the route de-
scription by public transport was
printed on the flyers.
•
My preference is for Round Dancing
and it is very important that the hall
size is given greater consideration for
this dance form than for Square
Dancing. Ideally all halls need to have
air conditioning, with sufficient chang-
ing facilities – including showers – and
parking spaces.
•
Good and cheap food.
•
The main point is that the parking
space for caravans is not too far away
from the dancing hall.
•
Care of children could be offered for
couples with children.

Weniger ist oft mehr! Veranstaltungen
und Jamborees nicht mit zu vielen Tanz-
arten anbieten.

Veranstaltungen mit Square und Round
sollten generell getrennt werden.
•
Kein Round Dance bei Square-Dance-
Veranstaltungen.

Zu viel Round Dance bei Square Dance-
Veranstaltungen. Es sollten separate An-
lässe sein oder mindestens separate Hal-
len.
•
Round Dance sollte in einer speziellen
Halle angeboten werden und nicht im
Wechsel mit MS und Plus, auch nicht im
Abendprogramm!
•
Ich (MS-Tänzer) wünsche mir keine Pau-
sen durch Round Dance ! Die sollten ih-
ren Tanzplatz in einer separaten Halle ha-
ben.
•
Ich tanze (noch ?) kein Round, aber ich
schaue sehr gerne zu.
•
Es ist auch sehr schön, bei anderen Tanz-
arten zuzuschauen.
•
Natürlich sollten auch Contra und Old
Style angeboten werden.
•
Es wäre gut, wenn auf den Flyern die
Wegbeschreibung mit öffentlichen Ver-
kehrsmitteln stehen würde.
•
Meine Vorliebe gilt dem Round Dance
und es ist sehr wichtig, dass bei dieser
Tanzart der Größe der Halle mehr Auf-
merksamkeit geschenkt wird als bei
Square Dance. Idealerweise haben alle
Hallen eine Klimaanlage sowie ausrei-
chend Möglichkeiten zum Umkleiden –
Duschen inclu-sive – and genügend Park-
raum.
•
Gutes und preiswertes Essen.
•
Hauptsache, die Plätze für Wohnwagen
sind nicht zu weit weg von der Halle.
•
Kinderbetreuung könnte für Paare mit
Kindern angeboten werden.
