Tell the

New Dancer About National Directory

Erzähle einem neuen Tänzer vom National Directory

If you take a second to think back to

when you were a new dancer, you may

recall both your enthusiasm for square

dancing and your lack of knowledge

about the activity.

Over the years, dancers gain know-

ledge about dancing outside their local

club. Much of that information, which

takes most dancers many years to ob-

tain, is contained in the annual edition

of the National (& International)

Square Dance Directory. But most new

dancers don't know about the Direc-

tory.

The Directory has many sections to aid

dancers, callers and leaders alike. There

are clubs listed from the USA, Canada,

Europe, China and around the world.

The club listings include the type of

each club, the dancing program, when

and where dances are scheduled and

the contact name, address and tele-

phone number. The German informa-

tion is updated every year in August by

the EAASDC Administrator.

Sections on

festivals, conventions, pub-

lications, organizations, callers and

leaders, as well as details on hundreds

of Square, Round, Clogging and Con-

tra dance shops are

contained in this

annual publication.

The Directory is published in January

each year and is available at most local

square shops or may be ordered

Nehmt Euch einmal eine Sekunde Zeit und

erinnert Euch an die Zeit als ihr noch neue

Tänzer wart, könnt Ihr Euch an beides erin-

nern? Euren Enthusiasmus für Square Dan-

cing und Euren Mangel an Wissen über diese

Aktivität.

Im Laufe der Zeit sammeln Tänzer Erfahrun-

gen über das Tanzen außerhalb ihrer örtlichen

Clubs. Viele dieser Informationen, welche von

vielen Tänzern innerhalb von Jahren zusam-

mengetragen werden, sind in der jährlichen

Ausgabe des National (& International)

Square Dance Directory enthalten. Aber die

meisten neuen Tänzer kennen das Directory

nicht.

Das Directory beinhaltet viele Teile zur Unter-

stützung von Tänzern, Callern und Leader. Es

gibt z.B. Clubeinträge aus USA, Kanada, Eu-

ropa, Japan, China und der gesamten Welt.

Die Art des Clubs, das Tanzprogramm, wann

und wo Tänze stattfinden und Angaben zu

Kontaktpersonen, wie Namen, Adresse und

Telefon. Ein Update aller Deutschen Clubda-

ten erfolgt jeweils im August durch EAASDC

Administration.

Informationen über Festivals, Conventions,

diverse Publikationen und Organisationen.

Ein Verzeichnis von Callern und Leadern, De-

tails über Hunderte von Square -Round-

Clogging und Contra Dance-Shops sind in

dieser jährlichen Publikation enthalten.

Das Directory, welches jeweils im Januar

herausgegeben wird, ist in den meisten Square

Dance-Shops erhältlich, oder kann direkt
