Evaluation of the Questionnaires / Auswertung der Fragebögen (7)

In 2003 we asked the dancers for

their opinion. The evaluation of the

comments on the questionnaires has

naturally taken a bit longer. Here is

the seventh collection of interesting

comments:

Further inquiries on other topics

would be useful (shortening of MS

programme, etc.).

Thank you to the people who organ-

ise Jamborees!

-

Invite more foreign guests to Jam-

borees.

-

I'm a regular Jamboree participant.

-

Fewer Jamborees. Only a Conven-

tion once a year as in the USA, a big

event covering all programmes.

-

Emphasise the friendship and the

meeting of friends and not so many

different levels! Otherwise square

dancing gets more and more "egois-

tic".

-

The variety makes it. No uniform

events with always the same well-

known callers but include good

young callers.

-

In Switzerland neither Round Danc-

ing nor A1 (and higher) can be

danced. Jamborees are a welcome

opportunity to dance A1 at all.

-

It disturbs me that at "Square"

Dancing events so much Round

Dancing can be danced. Either

Square or Round not both. The

same for Line Dance.

-

Round Dancing is felt as stopping

the mood. So it should be organised

at Jamborees only in separate halls.

-

Round Dancing should exist no

longer in the evening programme of

Im Jahr 2003 haben wir eine Tänzerbefra-

gung durchgeführt. Die Auswertung der

Kommentare auf den Fragebögen hat na-

turgemäß etwas länger gedauert. Hier die

siebte Auswahl von interessanten Anmer-

kungen:

Weitere Umfragen zu anderen Themen

wären gut (Kürzungen des MS-Pro-

gramms, etc.).

Danke an all diejenigen, die Jamborees

organisieren!

Mehr ausländische Gäste zu Jamborees

einladen.

Ich bin regelmäßige Jamboree-Teil-

nehmerin.

-

Es sollten weniger Jamborees stattfinden.

Nur 1x jährlich eine Convention wie z.B.

in den USA, also eine große Veranstal-

tung, die dann aber alle Programme ab-

deckt.

-

Schreibt die Freundschaft und das Treffen

von Freunden groß und nicht die vielen

unterschiedlichen Levels! Square Dance

wird dadurch immer "egoistischer".

-

Die Abwechslung macht´s. Keine Ein-

heitsveranstaltungen mit immer den glei-

chen bekannten Callern, sondern auch gu-

te junge Caller einbeziehen.

-

In der Schweiz wird weder Round Dance

noch A1 (und höher) getanzt. Jamborees

sind daher eine willkomene Gelegenheit

um überhaupt A1 tanzen zu können.

-

Mich stört es, dass an "Square"-Dance-

Veranstaltungen soviel Round Dance ge-

tanzt wird. Entweder Square oder Round,

nicht beides. Gilt auch für Line Dance.

-

Round Dance wird als Stimmungshem-

mend empfunden und sollte bei Jambo-

rees nur in extra Hallen veranstaltet wer-

den.

Jamborees; it kills the mood.

As a Square dancer it disturbs me

that Rounds are always in between.

-

Round dancing should be separated

totally from Square dancing.

-

More often "Funny Squares".

-

As additional dance sorts I like Barn

Dance, Country Western Dance and

Rococo dances.

-

Be democratic = no high level elite.

-

Plus to C3 dancers: they should have

the challenge to bring and follow

one couple of dancers every two

years and follow them in the class.

-

I travel as far as 100 km with my

own car and as far as 300 km to-

gether with others.

-

The distance limitation for Special

Dances should be re-introduced.

km only one Special dance and not

many!

The amount for the entrance fees

has reached my pain threshold.

The cost-price ratio for food has to

be correct.

Offer local specialities for food –

that would be nice!

gramm der Jamborees bestehen bleiben;

es tötet die Stimmung.

Als Squaredancerin stört es mich, dass

dazwischen immer Round getanzt wird.

Round sollte total vom Square Dance aus-

geschlossen werden.

Als zusätzliche Tanzarten gefallen mir

Barn Dance, Country Western Dance und

Rokoko-Tänze.

Seid demokratisch: keine High-level-Elite.

Für Plus- bis C3-Tänzer: sie sollten die

Herausforderung darin sehen, alle zwei

Jahre ein neues Paar Tänzer zu bringen

und sie in der Class zu begleiten.

Ich fahre bis 100 km mit dem eigenen Au-

to und bis 300 km gemeinsam mit ande-

ren.

Die Kilometerbegrenzung für Specials

sollte wieder eingeführt werden.

ten, z.B. eine eigene Turnhalle mit Spielge-

räten.

Die Höhe des Eintritts ist für mich an der

Schmerzgrenze angelangt.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bei der

Bewirtung muss stimmen.

-

Lokale Spezialitäten zum Essen anbieten,

das wäre schön!
