A new Club in the Stuttgart area / Ein neuer Club in der Region Stuttgart

After finishing an A2-class with Uli Schin-
gen at the Stuttgarter Rebläuse, the group
wanted to continue practising. As Uli was
not available for this, we were fortunate in
being able to engage Dave Preskitt as
caller.
Wednesday was a good day for all, and so
for more than a year, we met twice each
month, practising A2 – and having a lot
of fun.
Shortly after this the wish arose to have a
go at the C1 program. Unfortunately, in
the area there was no opportunity for this.
So the idea came up: “Why, we do not do
it on our own ?” But, who should be our
tutor? Luckily a dancer out of our own
ranks was found, who was prepared to
accept the risk and dared to do it. This

wollten einige Tänzer der A2-Gruppe
gerne weiter zusammen üben. Da Uli dafür
nicht zur Verfügung stand, konnten wir
glücklicherweise Dave Preskitt als Caller
gewinnen.
Wir trafen uns 2x im Monat, immer mitt-
wochs, und übten so mehr als ein Jahr lang
fleißig A2 – und hatten viel Spaß dabei.
Bald kam der Wunsch auf, ins C1-
Programm einzusteigen. In der näheren
Umgebung gab es keine Gelegenheit dazu,
also kam die Idee auf: „Warum machen wir
das nicht selbst ?“ Aber wer sollte uns un-
terrichten? Aus unserem eigenen Kreis
fand sich schließlich Thomas Köder bereit,
dieses Wagnis zu übernehmen. Er tanzt
