Dear friends,
Now also the Spring Jamboree has
happened a few weeks ago. We felt very
comfortable there and talked to a lot
of nice people.
One of our highlights was without any
doubt the "youth forum" on Saturday af-
ternoon. Unfortunately we had neglected
to announce it in the bulletin or to mention
it on the flyer. So we started a word of
mouth campaign on Friday night – the
result was overwhelming.
The room that we had available for the
forum burst at the seams. They came from
all levels: the newly graduated ten year
old as well as the young at heart 50 plus
long time dancers interested in working
with the youth. Our heartfelt thanks to all
of you who you followed the invitation and
with your constructive comments made
these discussions a great success and
gave us a lot of food for thought.
We were made aware of the wishes of the
teenagers and the young adults and re-
ceived many new ideas and suggestions
for improvements. We were pleased also
to get reports of several successful
operations for and with children and teen-
agers.
We would like to continue talking with
many teenagers, young adults and people
interested in working with the youth to
work together towards common goals,
follow up on suggestions and to intensify
the work for and with the youth.
We need help to achieve these goals !
For our board we are looking for a repre-
sentative for the youth who together with
us works on this idea and makes it

das Spring Jamboree liegt nun auch schon
wieder einige Wochen hinter uns. Wir haben
uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und mit vielen
netten Leuten gesprochen.
Eines unserer Highlights war zweifellos das
„Jugend Forum“ am Samstag nachmittag.
Leider hatten wir es versäumt, dieses vorher
als Termin im Bulletin anzukündigen oder
auf diesen Termin im Flyer hinzuweisen. So
setzten wir am Freitag abend eine Flüster-
propaganda in Gang – der Erfolg war über-
wältigend.
Der uns für das Forum zur Verfügung ge-
stellte Raum platzte aus allen Nähten, vom
10-jährigen, frisch graduierten Tänzer bis
zum im Herzen jung gebliebenen über 50-
jährigen, langjährigen Tänzer, der sich für
Jugendarbeit interessiert, war alles dabei!
Ganz herzlichen Dank an alle, die unserer
Einladung gefolgt sind und durch konstrukti-
ve Beiträge diese Diskussion zu einem gro-
ßen Erfolg gemacht haben und uns viel Stoff
zum Nachdenken gegeben haben.
Es sind viele Wünsche der Jugendlichen
und jungen Erwachsenen an uns herange-
tragen worden und viele Anregungen und
Verbesserungsvorschläge gekommen; er-
freulicherweise wurde auch von einigen er-
folgreichen Aktionen für und mit Kindern und
Jugendlichen berichtet.
Wir möchten weiterhin mit vielen Jugend-
lichen, jungen Erwachsenen und an Jugend-
arbeit Interessierten sprechen, gemeinsam
Ziele entwickeln, Anregungen umsetzen und
die Arbeit mit und für die Jugend intensivie-
ren.
Dafür brauchen wir Hilfe! Wir suchen eine(n)
Jugendvertreter(in) für unser Board, die / der
mit uns diese Arbeit angeht und umsetzt. Wir
