President Hans-Hermann Meier opens

the Membership Meeting at 09.40 a.m.

and greets those present.

The invitation with the agenda was

published in the February 2007 Bulletin

and has therefore been sent to the

members in accordance with the regula-

tions.

The meeting therefore constitutes a

quorum in accordance with the articles

of association.

Board Members present:

Präsident Hans-Hermann Meier eröffnet die

Mitgliederversammlung um 9.40 Uhr und be-

grüßt die Anwesenden.

Die Einladung mit der Tagesordnung wurde

in der Ausgabe des Bulletins vom Februar

2007 veröffentlicht und ist somit den

Mitgliedern ordnungsgemäß zugegangen.

Entsprechend der Satzung ist die Ver-

sammlung hiermit beschlussfähig.

She asks to be excused. Clive Jones

states that he is prepared to do the

English translation. Many thanks in ad-

1. Report of the Board

President:

Hans-Hermann informs the meeting

that the PR-Manager Oliver Bücker has

withdrawn from office for job reasons.

A new PR-Manager is being searched

for as everyone believes that this is a

very important task for the EAASDC.

The Board should also be enlarged with

a Youth Representative who would then

represent youth interests on the Board.

Karin Briesemeister kann wegen Krankheit

an der Mitgliederversammlung nicht teil-

nehmen. Sie lässt sich entschuldigen. Clive

Jones hat sich bereit erklärt, für die englische

Übersetzung zur Verfügung zu stehen.

TOP 1: Bericht des Vorstands

President:

Hans-Hermann teilt mit, dass der PR-

Manager Oliver Bücker von seinem Amt aus

beruflichen Gründen zurückgetreten ist. Ein

neuer PR-Manager wird gesucht, da alle der

Meinung sind, dass dies eine sehr wichtige

Aufgabe für die EAASDC ist. Des Weiteren

soll das Board um einen Jugendvertreter er-

weitert werden, der dann die Angelegenheiten

der Jugend im Board vertritt. Heute findet ein

A meeting will today be taking place

with the youths in the Burgerhaus at

2.00 p.m. A discussion is to take place

there as to how the youth work should

be organized in the future.

Treasurer:

Jürgen once more informs all of the

members that many clubs have not reg-

istered their 2nd club evening. He

points out that only registered activities

are Gema licensed and have insurance

cover. Many advertise the additional ac-

tivities on their website but all of the

responsible club boards should not for-

get that everyone can access these web-

sites. Jürgen would be pleased to answer

any questions at the information stand

after the meeting.

Bulletin Editor:

As an addition to the written Board

Report, Klaus once more informs the

meeting that the Bulletin has had a

better paper and printing quality since

2007. There have been a number of

positive reactions but also some criti-

cism. He still looks forward to receiving

feedback. The packaging has also been

claimed. The plastic sleeve means that

the Bulletin is protected against inclem-

ent weather in the future. Klaus also

announces that there will be a special

edition of the Bulletin this year for

freshly graduated dancers. This costs 2

€

plus VAT, postage and packaging.

Bulletin Administrator:

Katharina informs the meeting that she

can only accept orders for the special

edition of the Bulletin in writing. Those

who would like to have information on

the dress code or the Tel. No. of the

dancing venue (with the approval of the

landlord) in the Directory should also

inform her in writing. Errors are repeat-

den, wie in Zukunft die Jugendarbeit gestaltet

werden soll.

Treasurer:

Jürgen teilt allen Mitgliedern noch einmal mit,

dass viele Clubs ihre zweiten Clubabende

nicht angemeldet haben. Er weist darauf hin,

dass nur die angemeldeten Aktivitäten Gema-

und Versicherungsschutz haben. Viele wer-

ben auf ihren Webseiten für die zusätzlichen

Aktivitäten, aber alle verantwortlichen

Clubvorstände sollten bedenken, dass diese

Webseiten von jedem eingesehen werden

können. Für weitere Fragen steht Jürgen nach

der Mitgliederversammlung am Infostand zur

Verfügung.

Bulletin Editor:

Klaus teilt ergänzend zum schriftlichen

Board-Report noch einmal mit, dass das

Bulletin seit 2007 eine wesentlich bessere

Papier- und Druckqualität hat. Es hat viele

positive Reaktionen, aber auch einige Kritik

gegeben. Er freut sich weiterhin über jede

Rückmeldung. Außerdem hat sich die Ver-

packung geändert. Durch die Klarsichthülle

ist das Bulletin zukünftig gegen Witterung-

seinflüsse geschützt. Des Weiteren gibt Klaus

bekannt, dass es auch in diesem Jahr eine

Sonderausgabe des Bulletins für frisch-

graduierte Tänzer geben wird. Diese kostet

zuzüglich MwSt. plus Porto und Ver-

packung.

Bulletin Administrator:

Katharina teilt mit, dass sie Anmeldungen

für die Sonderausgabe des Bulletins nur

schriftlich entgegennehmen kann. Wer im

Directory noch Angaben zu Dresscode oder

Tel.Nr. vom Tanzort (mit Erlaubnis des

Wirtes) haben möchte, soll dies bitte auch

schriftlich Katharina mitteilen. Es werden

immer wieder Fehler im Directory fest-

edly found in the Directory. Katharina

informed the meeting that she cannot

act on her own accord even if she is

aware of errors herself. The clubs must

always provide written notification of

changes.

Hans-Hermann greeted Uli Hantke as

the organiser of the Spring Jamboree in

Kuchen. Uli was not asked any ques-

tions.

2. Roll Call

It is determined that 80 voting members

are present. The list of the represented

clubs is attached to the original minutes

as an annex.

3. Approval of the Minutes of the

Membership Meeting from FRU

2006

The Minutes were published in the

November 2006 issue of the Bulletin.

An amendment to the Minutes was

published in the December 2006 issue

of the Bulletin. The minutes and the

amendment were unanimously accepted

without any dissenting votes or absten-

tions.

4. New Members

The following clubs have been regular

EAASDC members since the FRU

2006:

Organisator des Spring Jamborees in Kuchen.

TOP 2: Feststellung der Anwesenheit

Es wird festgestellt, dass 80 stimmberechtigte

Mitglieder anwesend sind. Die Liste der ver-

tretenen Clubs ist dem Original-Protokoll als

Anlage beigefügt.

TOP 3: Genehmigung des Protokolls der

Mitgliederversammlung am FRU 2006

Das Protokoll wurde in der November-

Ausgabe 2006 des Bulletins veröffentlicht.

Eine Korrektur des Protokolls wurde in der

Dezember Ausgabe 2006 des Bulletins ver-

öffentlicht. Das Protokoll sowie die Korrek-

tur werden einstimmig ohne Gegenstimme

oder Enthaltung angenommen.

5. Jamborees: Dates, Options and

Applications

Fall Round Up 2007

Organiser: Texas Armadillos

Event venue: Reilingen.

Margit Sanderlin informs the meeting that

the caller contracts will be signed during

this weekend. All of the preparations are

according to plan. In addition to the

flyers, maps of Reilingen are also available

to those who do not know the town.

Spring Jamboree 2008

Organiser: Cinderella SDC Chemnitz

The President of the Cinderellas, Gerd

Lässig, informs the meeting that the final

preparations are at full speed. The flyers

are available at the information stand as

from today. Admission badges can also be

purchased as from today.

Fall Round Up 2008

Organiser: Crossing Creeks, Leverkusen

Hans-Hermann informs the meeting

5 halls are available at the FRU in Lever-

kusen. The evening program will be held

in 3 halls as none of the halls offer space

for all of the dancers. All of the prepara-

tions are running to plan. A youth dance

will be held at the FRU 2008 for the first

time.

Spring Jamboree 2009

Organiser: Rubber Dollies, Berlin

The President of the Rubber Dollies,

Peter Weber states that the option for the

Spring Jamboree 2009 is still in existence.

They are confident that they can submit

all of the required documents soon. They

are already looking forward to a nice

Jamboree in Berlin.

Fall Round Up 2009

The Darmstompers, Darmstadt have an

option.

TOP 5: Jamborees: Termine, Optionen

und Bewerbungen

Fall Round Up 2007

Ausrichter: Texas Armadillos

Veranstaltungsort: Reilingen.

Margit Sanderlin teilt mit, dass die Caller-

verträge an diesem Wochenende unter-

schrieben werden. Alle Vorbereitungen

verlaufen nach Plan. Zusätzlich zu den

Flyern liegen noch Stadtpläne von Reilin-

gen für Ortsunkundige aus.

Spring Jamboree 2008

Ausrichter: Cinderella SDC Chemnitz

Der Präsident der Cinderellas, Gerd Lässig,

teilt mit, dass die letzten Vorbereitungen

auf Hochtouren laufen. Ab heute liegen am

Infostand die Flyer aus. Außerdem können

ab heute bereits Eintrittsbadges erworben

werden.

Fall Round Up 2008

Ausrichter: Crossing Creeks, Leverkusen

Hans-Hermann teilt mit, dass beim FRU in

Leverkusen 5 Hallen zur Verfügung stehen.

Das Abendprogramm findet in 3 Hallen

statt, weil keine Halle genügend Platz für

alle Tänzer bietet. Alle Vorbereitungen ver-

laufen planmäßig. Beim FRU 2008 wird

erstmals ein Jugendtanz angeboten.

Spring Jamboree 2009

Ausrichter: Rubber Dollies, Berlin

Der Präsident der Rubber Dollies, Peter

Weber, gibt an, dass nach wie vor die Op-

tion für das Spring Jamboree 2009 besteht.

Sie sind zuversichtlich, dass sie in Kürze alle

erforderlichen Unterlagen vorlegen können.

Sie freuen sich jetzt schon auf ein schönes

Jamboree in Berlin.

Spring Jamboree 2010

Organiser: Munich Roadrunners, Munich

The Spring Jamboree 2010 has been fi-

nally awarded to the Munich Roadrunners.

All of the application documents have

been submitted and checked.

Fall Round Up 2010

Still open. The Assindian Star Dancers,

Essen have shown an interest. This would

especially be interesting as Essen is the

European Capital of Culture in 2010.

European Convention 2008

All of the preparations for the EC 2008

are running according to plan. The caller

and hall contracts have been signed. 4

clubs are currently prepared to cooperate

in the Convention. 1 or 2 clubs from the

Rhine-Main area who would be prepared

to assist are being searched for. The

preliminary flyers are available.

6. AOB

Ernst from The Lumberjacks, Heiden-

heim suggests that the membership

Meeting be started later so that more

Members would be able to participate.

Hans-Hermann does not see a possibility

as the halls are required for dancing

from 12 noon and there must be some

leeway.

Jürgen from the Percolators, Hamburg

has noticed that there were a large num-

ber of visitors in the Round Hall and the

Plus/A1 Hall on the Friday evening. Only

two squares danced in the large MS-Hall

however, despite a good caller. He asks

whether it might not be worth consider-

ing swapping the halls in such situations.

Lisa from the Hurly-Burly Magixs is of

the opinion that the reason why many

dancers waited at the edge was not be-

cause of the small hall but because Plus

and A1 was being danced alternately. She

Das Spring Jamboree 2010 ist an die

Munich Roadrunners fest vergeben. Alle

Bewerbungsunterlagen wurden eingereicht

und sind geprüft.

Fall Round Up 2010

noch offen. Die Assindian Star Dancers,

Essen haben Interesse bekundet. Das wäre

besonders interessant, da Essen 2010 Kul-

turhauptstadt Europas ist.

European Convention 2008

Alle Vorbereitungen zur EC 2008 verlaufen

planmäßig. Die Caller- und Hallenverträge

sind unterschrieben. Zurzeit sind 4 Clubs

bereit, während der Convention mitzuar-

beiten. Es werden noch 1 oder 2 Clubs aus

dem Rhein-Main-Gebiet gesucht, die bereit

sind zu helfen. Die Vorflyer liegen bereits

aus.

TOP 6: Verschiedenes

Ernst von The Lumberjacks, Heidenheim

schlägt vor die Mitgliederversammlung

später zu beginnen, damit mehr Mitglieder

daran teilnehmen.

Hans-Hermann sieht keine Möglichkeit,

weil die Hallen ab 12.00 Uhr zum Tanzen

benötigt werden und ein gewisser Spielraum

noch vorhanden sein muss.

Jürgen von den Percolators, Hamburg ist

aufgefallen, dass am Freitagabend die

Roundhalle sowie die Plus/A1-Halle mehr

als gut besucht waren. In der großen MS-

Halle tanzten jedoch, trotz guter Caller, nur

zwei Squares. Er fragt an, ob vielleicht zu

überlegen sei, bei solchen Gegebenheiten

die Hallen zu tauschen.

Lisa von den Hurly-Burly Magixs ist der

Ansicht, dass der Grund, weshalb viele

Tänzer am Rand warteten, nicht die zu

kleine Halle war, sondern weil Plus und A1

im Wechsel angeboten wurde. Sie findet es

thinks it would be better if each level was

to be danced in a block.

Hans-Hermann informs the meeting that

all of the levels should be danced sepa-

rately where possible. It is intended to

have everyone dance MS together in one

hall in the evening. If the main hall does

not provide enough space for all of the

dancers, the evening program will have to

continue to take place in more than one

hall.

Ernst from the Lumberjacks, Heidenheim

reminds the meeting that MS forms the

basis of Square Dancing and it is there-

fore the most important level. After all,

without MS, there will be no more higher

levels.

Hans-Hermann replies that this is why

MS is the only level which can be danced

from Friday to Sunday. All of the other

levels are not offered continuously.

Uli Hantke points out as the responsible

person from the organiser that the largest

hall is knowingly used for MS in order to

support this level. Those who find the A-

Hall too full will find enough space in the

MS-Hall.

Lisa from the Hurly-Burly Magixs asks

whether all of the dance levels really must

be offered at a Jamboree.

Peter Weber from the Rubber Dollies,

Berlin is of the following opinion: MS is

the basis for SD and must be continu-

ously offered. The other dance levels

should also be offered I enough halls are

available however.

Anke from the Shillalegh Swingers, Erlan-

gen likes dancing each of the levels but

not in full halls. She believes that it would

be better to dance the evening program in

two halls than to dance together in an

overfilled hall. She states that the Round

Dancers, Cloggers and Contra Dancers

besser, jedes Level für sich im Block zu

tanzen.

Hans-Hermann teilt mit, dass nach Mög-

lichkeit alle Levels getrennt angeboten wer-

den sollen. Das Bestreben ist, dass abends

alle zusammen in einer Halle MS tanzen.

Wenn die Haupthalle nicht genügend Platz

für alle Tänzer bietet, wird weiterhin das

Abendprogramm in mehreren Hallen

stattfinden müssen.

Ernst von The Lumberjacks, Heidenheim

erinnert daran, dass MS die Basis des

Square Dance ist und somit das wichtigste

Level. Denn ohne MS wird es bald auch

keine höheren Levels mehr geben.

Hans-Hermann antwortet, dass deshalb MS

das einzige Level ist, welches durchgängig

von Freitag bis Sonntag getanzt werden

kann. Alle anderen Level werden nicht

durchgängig angeboten.

Uli Hantke als Verantwortlicher der Veran-

staltung weist darauf hin, dass ganz

bewusst die größte Halle für MS genutzt

wird, um dieses Level zu fördern. Wem es

in der A-Halle zu voll ist, der findet in der

MS-Halle genügend Platz.

Lisa von den Hurly-Burly Magixs fragt an,

ob bei einem Jamboree wirklich alle Tanz-

programme angeboten werden müssen.

Peter Weber von den Rubber Dollies, Berlin

ist folgender Ansicht: MS ist die Basis des

SD und muss durchgängig angeboten wer-

den. Wenn jedoch genügend Hallen zur

Verfügung stehen, sollte man auch die an-

deren Tanzprogramme anbieten.

Anke von den Shillalegh Swingers, Erlan-

gen tanzt gerne jedes Level, aber nicht in

vollen Hallen. Sie ist der Ansicht, es sei

besser, beim Abendprogramm in zwei

Hallen zu tanzen als alle zusammen in einer

überfüllten Halle. Sie stellt fest, dass die

Round-Dancer, die Clogger sowie die

each have their on Convention but that

there is not a Convention devoted to SD.

Kai Hoffmann from the Stoke-Boat-

Promenaders, Tubingen believes that it is

important to offer all of the dancing

forms.

Peter Weber from the Rubber Dollies is of

the same opinion as Kai, as long as there

are enough halls. This provides all of the

dancers with the possibility of gaining

interest in other dancing forms.

Ina from the Square Miners is very

pleased that Plus Dancers and A-Dancers

helpfully support the MS-Dancers.

Hans-Hermann informs the meeting that

it not good when a lot of the dancers

are chased through the individual levels.

Everyone should dance a level until he has

a secure command of it before he learns

the next highest level.

It is not desirable when the highest level is

danced within a short period of time.

Each Plus-Dancer, A1-Dancer, etc. should

dance MS with pleasure and especially

have a command of the MS figures

Lisa motions for the closing of the Mem-

bership Meeting. The motion is un-

animously adopted. The meeting is closed

by Hans-Hermann Meier at 10.15 a.m.

Contra-Dancer jeweils eine eigene Conven-

tion haben, aber eine reine SD Convention

gebe es nicht.

Kai Hoffmann von den Stoke-Boat-Pro-

menaders, Tübingen findet es wichtig, dass

alle Tanzsparten angeboten werden.

Peter Weber von den Rubber Dollies teilt

die Ansicht von Kai, vorausgesetzt es gibt

genügend Hallen. Somit bietet man den

Tänzern die Möglichkeit, sich auch für an-

dere Tanzsparten zu interessieren.

Ina von den Square Miners findet es sehr

erfreulich, dass Plus- und A-Tänzer die MS-

Tänzer hilfreich unterstützen.

Hans-Hermann teilt mit, dass es nicht gut

ist, dass viele Tänzer durch die einzelnen

Levels jagen. Jeder sollte solange ein Level

tanzen, bis er dieses absolut sicher be-

herrscht, bevor er das nächsthöhere Level

erlernt.

Es sei nicht erstrebenswert innerhalb kür-

zester Zeit das höchste Level zu tanzen.

Jeder Plus-, A1-Tänzer usw. sollte mit

Freude auch MS tanzen und vor allem sollte

er auch die MS-Figuren beherrschen

Lisa stellt den Antrag auf Beendigung der

Mitgliederversammlung. Der Antrag wird

einstimmig angenommen. Die Ver-

sammlung wird um 10.15 Uhr von Hans-

Hermann Meier beendet.
