Introducing: The Birdy Dancers
Die Birdy Dancers stellen sich vor
Birdy - Kerstin Kaldasch - Clubcaller
It’s now been a full year and we have
finally found the time to write an intro-
duction for the Bulletin.
Everything started when our Caller was
looking for a club where she could call
occasionally, so as to get more familiar
with her new hobby. But that proved to
be more difficult than she had thought.
So there was nothing else to do but to
look for a new club that would give her
that opportunity.
And that was found rather quickly: the
dance club “Tanzsportclub Schwarz-Gelb
Nidda” liked the idea of integrating a
Square Dance Group into its ranks.
After three successful Open Houses with
a lot of guests, 13 students stayed on.
Angels were found quickly, as well, to
support the students, so that from the
very first class evening we always had two
full squares!
Since the dance sport club’s colors are
black and yellow, we looked for a motif
in the same colors, and we found one!
Our caller is called “Birdy” by everybody,
and so we quickly arrived at the name
BIRDY DANCERS.
Already at the fifth class evening, one of
our angels brought a Travel Banner: a
Ein Jahr liegt nun hinter uns und nun haben
wir endlich auch einmal die Zeit gefunden
um uns hier im Bulletin vorzustellen.
Alles fing eigentlich damit an, dass unsere
Callerin einen Club suchte, bei dem sie gele-
gentlich callen konnte, um in die Materie
ihres neuen Hobby´s hineinzuschauen. Das
war jedoch schwieriger, als sie es sich
dachte! Also blieb ihr nichts anderes übrig,
als sich nach einem neuen Verein umzu-
schauen, der ihr die Möglichkeit dazu gab.
Der war dann auch schnell gefunden: Der
Tanzsportclub Schwarz-Gelb Nidda fand
die Idee, eine Square-Dance-Gruppe in den
Verein zu integrieren gut.
Nach drei erfolgreichen Open Houses mit
vielen Gästen sind dann 13 Students dabei
geblieben. Schnell fanden sich auch Angels,
welche die Students tatkräftig unterstützten.
So hatten wir bereits ab dem ersten Class-
abend immer zwei Squares!
Da die Farben des Tanzsportclub schwarz
und gelb sind, haben wir nach einem Motiv
in eben diesen Farben gesucht und auch
gefunden! Unsere Callerin wird von allen
„Birdy“ genannt und so hatten wir ganz
schnell den Namen BIRDY DANCERS.
Bereits am fünften Classabend brachte einer
unserer Angels ein Travelbanner mit. Einen
