Hey friends, We’d like to say Many thanks to all people involved in planning, organization and care for the Fall Round Up 1998. They had taken a challenge and to our surprise and astonishment we could see how they have managed it within about 3-month preparation time. Comparing organization and course with those long time planned it was no way inferior. The unending applause for Anke and Alex on Saturday evening was the best proof for that. Unfortunately they only had a low participation of about 650 dancers. But there was room enough in the halls for additional several hundred dancers. Where were all those people who urge for 4 Jamborees a year, although there were only 2 Jamborees within this year? Maybe the president of a club is right who meant: why should the dancers travel to a Jamboree, that is hosted in a far away town, if they can participate in a Special ongoing for several days with a good program a week later in their neighborhood? How can we solve this problem? What should we do to make our Jamborees interesting again to attract all of you to participate? We would be very interested in your opinion to that. Anyway we wish all those, who are in a "planning phase" right now, much verve and the needed amount of luck to make their event a success. See you in a square,

Hallo Freunde, Dankeschön sagen wir allen, die an der Planung, Organisation und Betreuung des Fall Round Up 1998 beteiligt waren. Ihr habt eine Herausforderung angenommen und es hat uns erstaunt und sehr gefreut, wie Ihr diese Aufgabe in nur ca. 3 Monaten Vorbereitungszeit bewältigt habt. In Organisation und Ablauf stand die Veranstaltung einer lange geplanten in nichts nach. Der nicht enden wollende Applaus für Anke und Alex am Samstagabend war der beste Beweis. Bedauerlich war nur die recht geringe Beteiligung von ca. 650 Tänzern. Es hätten sicherlich noch einige hundert Personen mehr Platz in den Hallen gefunden. Wo waren all die Tänzer, die auf vier Jamborees pro Jahr drängen, obwohl in diesem Jahr nur zwei Jamborees stattfanden? Vielleicht hat der Präsident eines Clubs doch recht, der meinte: warum sollten die Tänzer zu einem Jamboree fahren, dessen Veranstaltungsort weit entfernt ist, wenn sie an einem mehrtägigen Special mit gutem Programm eine Woche später im Nachbarort teilnehmen können? Wie können wir dieses Problem angehen? Was wollen wir unternehmen, um unsere Jamborees wieder so interessant zu gestalten, daß jeder Lust hat, daran teilzunehmen? Schreibt uns doch einmal Eure Meinung! Jedenfalls wünschen wir allen, die sich im Augenblick in der "Planungsphase" befinden, viel Schwung und das nötige Quentchen Glück, um ihre Veranstaltung zum Erfolg zu führen.
