Carol David-Blackman was invited by Contra Hoppers in Oehringen already for the ninth time. The Contra workshop by Carol is tradition in Mehrgenerationenhaus on each last Saturday of carnival. Sure, the old time string band who was playing the old music of Northern America had got as much fun as the dancers. The Contra dances chosen by Carol were on an easy level and all dancers enjoyed the smooth dancing very much. The six musicians “Four Potatoes” (four beats…) fiddling and picking, even during the breaks, were very pleased by standing ovations of the dancers. Contra Hoppers Hohenlohe will celebrate the tenth Contra workshop together with Carol and “Four Potatoes” on February 19th 2012. There are many Contra fans in Southern Germany, who are looking forward already to this special event . If you will travel from far away, you will enjoy Contra Dance and live music.

Another highlight will be the club night by Katja Hunn and her band “Over the Isles” from Zurich on October, 29th , the Saturday before the “Day of Dance” 2011.
