How stressful –
a travel report of a club stamp
Jens-Erik Paul and Kerstin Kinzl, SD4Fun-Travellers

Hello, I am back again! Excuse me, you ask who? Well, by all means. Everybody should know me by now. It's me, the stamp of the SD4Fun-Travellers. In the meantime, my stamp should also be in your friendship book, because my dancers already hosted the second club night and I left my entry in a countless mass of these little booklets.

This time we went to Lützen. Although located close to the city of Leipzig, I have learned that it is still located in the federal state of Sachsen-Anhalt. We held two club nights in a row in a nice inn in the center of the city. The Russian Vodka Travel Club was there next to our event. This was kind of funny, because first I and then my dear colleague left behind our affixed stamps. I am sure that many of our stampfriends had come just because of this. In addition, we put a special dangle that was only available in Lützen into the booklet. To pass the time until the friendship books could be collected again, we were able to dance a little bit, while my fellow workers were supplied with Nussschnecken, Cookies and other goodies, as always. They deserved it and my thanks to the donators. Obviously, the dancers need someone to give them dance instructions. In this case, Jürgen R. Weissenborn and Elke Ferchland together with our guest caller Tomáš „Doug“ Machalik were in charge. They deserved it and many thanks to the donators.

The only problem was the fact that the landlord had not counted on so many eager dancers, for whom the word "break" is a foreign word. He had placed a lot of tables in the big hall and left only a little room for dancing – not enough for so many dancers. Yet, this mishap had been solved long before the first dancers arrived. This time we didn't need to bring our coffee machines, cake plates and cake lifters since the landlord took care of everything. So our cake crew also had time to dance. And what did the square dancers do? They really emptied the landlord's large cake buffet.

After three hours, the dance was over. But what happened then? One person came up on the stage wearing a headset. Has this become part of Square Dance, too? Obviously so, because some dancers grabbed chairs and placed the chairs in front of the stage. The person called Jeppa performed a magic show! Card tricks, knots in ropes and he even asked spectators to come up on stage. Unfortunately, the half hour was over too quickly. Let's see whether I can persuade him to perform again sometime. Many thanks to all the dancers who came from all directions just to make sure they received one of our shapely entries.

By the way, on 2 October I will be in Dortmund and will open my stamp pad again. That is the next chance for those who do not yet have my nice club entry to get one. For more details please see our homepage www.sd4fun-travellers.de. There you also have the chance to register for our newsletter, although I cannot imagine that there might be dancers who haven't visited us yet.

I have to say that I really like this job as a club stamp. Working really hard for the day twice a year is really stressful. But after that, I, being the most important part of this club, get a well-deserved luxury vacation. But please, not such a small inn this time. I want a five-star wellness hotel with beach!
