There is a well-known Children-Quiz-Show in Germany and Austria called „1,2 oder 3“ which runs for more than 30 years now. Each week they have a new topic. In an upcoming episode called „We Dance“ a Singing Call with Caller Paddy Böhnke and young square dancers from the area of Munich will be broadcasted these days in November:
Saturday, November 10th 2012
8:10 AM ZDF
9:35 AM ORF
Sunday, November 11th 2012
5:35 PM KiKa
This project has been managed by marketing and youth support of EAASDC.
After November 10th the show will be still available for a week at www.1-2-oder-3.de
Please inform your networks and club dancers about this event.
As singing calls are internationally understood, it is worthwhile to watch even through the rest of the show in German language.
Clubs themselves may profit in different ways:
- Square Dance popularity is rising and the dance form becomes more attractive to a wider range of dance interested persons.
- Families and youth in clubs may be motivated by the image upgrade.
- Dancing youth may talk with non dancing peers about their square dance experiences referring to youth dancing in TV.
Some clubs may have more people asking them for classes than usual at this time of the year. If you did not start your class by now, maybe you want to adjust your PR with reference to this show and start a class in Spring 2013.
If you cannot help promptly, please pass interested people on to my e-mail address.
Together with local clubs we try to connect them to clubs in the area, offering a class in spring if possible. In any case please let me know about your experiences and activities concerning this youth demo dance on TV. For further information please contact
