Epitaph Nachruf24 Bulletin April 2026%u201cKalle%u201d PilzTommy MorgenrothI first became acquainted with Tommy when, as a newcomer to the square dance scene, I listened to his calls at the BAMBERG CORNHUSKERS%u2019 club night and again the following day during the 2011 Castles and Palaces Tour.Even back then, I sensed that this caller must be something special: it was probably his strong physical presence, his great voice, and the quality of his calls. And this despite the fact that, due to the terrain, often only simple figures are possible on the Castles and Palaces Tour.The 11th Mole Dance of QUO VADIS THURINGIA, held at the L%u00f6ser tavern in Zella-Mehlis %u2013 which was also my first Mole Dance %u2013 was quite memorable. This tavern seemed to have fallen out of time. With a rather bizarre waiter, disintegrating potato dumplings, and a dance floor that presented quite a few challenges. And on top of that, the heat.But Tommy, confident behind the microphone, gave us little chance to dwell on it. And together with Heike, the special dance turned into a truly memorable highlight. Thanks, Tommy.The DANCING TROUTS FORCHHEIM invited Tommy to their 20th anniversary celebration. Their %u201cDive In%u201d is traditionally a costume carnival ball, a theme Tommy happily incorporated into his calls. However, he showed up in jeans and a blue-checked shirt %u2013 in other words, without a costume.Tommy MorgenrothTommy wurde mir bekannt als ich als Frischling in der Square Dance Szene beim Clubabend der BAMBERG CORNHUSKERS und tags darauf bei der Burgen- und Schl%u00f6sser Tour 2011 seinen Calls lauschte.Schon damals f%u00fchlte ich, dass dieser Caller etwas Besonderes sein musste: Es waren wohl seine starke k%u00f6rperliche Pr%u00e4senz, seine tolle Stimme und die Qualit%u00e4t der Calls. Und das, obwohl bei der Burgenund Schl%u00f6sser Tour aufgrund des Gel%u00e4ndes oft nur einfache Figuren m%u00f6glich sind.Der 11. Mole Dance der QUO VADIS TH%u00dcRINGEN in der Gastst%u00e4tte L%u00f6ser, ZellaMehlis %u2013 zugleich mein erster Mole Dance %u2013 war durchaus denkw%u00fcrdig. Dieses Gasthaus war anscheinend aus der Zeit gefallen. Mit einem recht skurrilen Kellner, zerlaufenden Kartoffelkl%u00f6%u00dfen und einem Tanzboden, der manche Herausforderung bereithielt. Und dazu diese Hitze.Doch Tommy, souver%u00e4n am Mikrofon, lie%u00df uns nur wenig Gelegenheit, dar%u00fcber nachzudenken. Und zusammen mit Heike wurde das Special zu einem ganz besonderen Highlight. Danke, Tommy.Die DANCING TROUTS FORCHHEIM luden Tommy zum ihrem 20-j%u00e4hrigen Jubil%u00e4um ein. Deren %u201eDive In%u201c ist traditionsgem%u00e4%u00df ein Faschingsball im Kost%u00fcm, was Tommy gerne in seinen Calls aufgriff. Allerdings kam er in Jeans und blaukariertem Hemd, also ohne Verkleidung.
