Letter to the Editor Leserbrief26 Bulletin June/Juni 2026I fully agree with Michael%u2019s opinion. For many years now, the number of Plus dancers has been steadily increasing. Many MS dancers will want to dance Plus, even though they are not yet experienced enough or, in principle, not suited for it. In 1989, I attended a Plus class. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I had to give up Plus just a few weeks after graduation. Many Plus dancers will not want to dance MS 50 at all, which I can well understand. I see no problem with maintaining the current dance programs in Europe and simply dancing MS 50 when MS 50 dancers visit. In nearly 40 years, I have only once experienced a group of Americans visiting my club. I doubt very muchwhether more classes will take place per year in the future. Organizing open houses takes time and costs money. Personally, I also find it pleasant when there%u2019s a period of club life without students between graduation and the start of a new class. This major restructuring of the dance programs will create a division among the dancers, which we square dancers, of all people, certainly don%u2019t want.Thank you so much for all your hard work! In knapp 40 Jahren habe ich es einmal erlebt, dass eine Gruppe von Amerikanern in meinem Club zu Gast war. Ob in Zukunft mehr Classes pro Jahr stattfinden, halte ich f%u00fcr fraglich. Open Houses zu organisieren braucht Zeit und kostet Geld. Ich pers%u00f6nlich finde es auch angenehm, wenn zwischen der Graduation und dem Beginn einer neuen Class eine Weile ein Clubleben ohne Students stattfindet.
